Ugrading to AP

If I buy myself a MYW ticket with Water Park Option, and want to upgrade to an AP, do I have to upgrade to the Premium AP or can I just upgrade to the AP?

If you have used any of the WP options, they make you upgrade to a PAP, I believe. Check the sticky at the top of the Theme Parks boards - it contains everything you could possibly want to know about Disney tickets and upgrades - it's a great resources.

That's right, if you have used any of the wp options you must upgrade to PAP. Otherwise, you can go regular AP

Thank you everyone. I will probably just get a MYW without the water park option for myself so I can upgrade to regular AP.

I will then just pay OOP for the times we visit them this summer. Since my children are not getting AP's, I will have the Water Park option put on their tickets but not mine.

We won't be heading to the parks more than twice, so it should work out.
