Great update. My son loves eating edemame too. He loves Japanese food and always orders edemame. When we ate at CP for lunch they have the edemame at the salad bar.

That's so good!! Start em out young right?! :thumbsup2

That's what were hoping to do whenever we have little ones...get them going on the healthy stuff right away! I wish my parents would have done that with me, but you live you learn right?

Awww Rafiki! My little guy always thinks it's hilarious that he has a blue butt!

Haha! I think that's exactly why DH wanted to take a booty shot! :lmao:

So neat you got to see the "opening" show for the restaurant! I've never been there, so thanks for all the pics! It definately looks like somewhere I'd like to try!

I had no idea about the opening show! It was quite a nice surprise!

Love the chacter pics, esp the Rafiki ones  Just trying to work out where that spot is.

Ok I have a guidemap handy of Epcot that i'm looking at right now...if you look between Canada and the UK you'll see a long walkway that heads in to the World ShowPlace Events Pavillion...it's right before you hit that building was where all the characters were! We were able to meet with Max, Pinocchio, Gepetto, Rafiki, Smee from Peter Pan, the quiet companion of Honest John from Pinocchio Gideon, some girl from a morning Disney channel show, and King Louie from the Jungle Book!

I was amazed at how few people there were over in that area!

Love your review of Teppan, its such an awesome restaurant right? What were the people like that you dined with?

The couple next to us were very polite and cute, but quiet and shy...well the guy was...the girl was the talker! :thumbsup2 The family on the other side of us didn't seem up for talking which was fine, ya know? So DH and I kept to the other couple mostly! I thought it was fun though!

I know what you mean, I love the Edamame! When we went there in Jan, DM, DF and me we got two orders! I got the tempura app and ate the shrimp before I remembered to take the pic of what was left. Did your guy make a Mickey head on the steaming onion?

A Mickey Head?! Ooh how cool!! No he didn't but now I wish he did!!

Yummmmm! I love that place!

I think you and I would get on great, I love sushi (my favourite meal was at California Grill and had the best sushi ever there).

Pre kids, back in New Zealand we use to go to Teppan place quite a bit it was soooo good, haven't tried it in England as while the kids love rice and stuff I am not sure I could trust them just yet not to put their hand on the hot plate.

:thumbsup2 That's probably a smart idea! When they're older though I'm sure they're gonna love it! It's very entertaining!

We have taken them to the sushi train before and they loved it.

I have yet to go to a sushi train yet...there's one in the next town over, but i've heard things varying things regarding sushi trains...i'm gonna have to try it though!

We went to a place in Lake Tahoe called Fire and Ice it has a massive bbq plate in the middle and they cooked your food for you. We all loved that. (fresh vege, we were getting a bit sick of fast food by that point) We were doing a month long road trip from LA to Vancouver.

Just checked that place online right now! SO COOL!! I've never seen anything like that before!! Gives me a reason to check out lake tahoe now!!! :rotfl:

Are places like this Fire and Ice common in the USA?

Anyhoo, I have put Teppan Edo on our list if and when we make it back to WDW.

Kirsten

Again, I've had to do some catching up on your reviews! As you can tell by my login name... I probably should be seeing patients instead of surfing the boards!:rotfl2:

:lmao: That's too funny!! Dr's deserve breaks too!!

Well Chefs de France looks fabuloso! I have an iPhone app with WDW Dining Menus and it doesn't show the ham and cheese sandwich.:confused3 But it looks great! I'm looking forward to our first ADR there this coming trip. That cream puff shot...divine! Really good quality shot!

That is weird that it's not showing up...and you checked under the lunch menu not the dinner right? I don't think they serve it at dinner but i'm not sure..

Another great picture is of the CR...our fav resort! And we LOVE CG! It's a must on every trip! DH loves sushi/sashimi...so much that I call him 'Chino Mexicano!' (we're hispanic :lmao:) Oh, and the baby's definitely gonna need his own round Pooh bear!

 Maybe I should be called China Mexicana since i'm Hispanic as well!!! :lmao:

I had no idea that Rafiki had an anatomically correct booty!:lmao:

Isn't it lovely!? :rotfl2:

Who the he__ is Max?:confused3

Teppan Edo is another one of our favs, mostly because it's entertaining for DS6. That last pic of the 'celebrity' was spectacular!!...with the smoke and all! Sell it to Disney!!

Hmm, perhaps I should approach Disney today regarding that pic...that would see you on eating at Teppan right?! :lmao:

OMG, I had no idea Max was even there at the parks for a meet 'n' greet! My boys LOVE LOVE LOVE "A Goofy Movie", it's on our DVR and they watch it all the time! They love Max, and if we got to see him they would be so thrilled! Of course I can't exactly tell them that he may be there because that could set them up for disappointment...I've been to WDW 5 times and never saw him there...of course before our 2008 trip, my last trip there was in 1994! :rotfl:

Love your review of Teppan Edo! We're not eating there on this trip because we go to hibachi restaurants all the time at home, so we want to take the boys to some different places at Epcot. We're going to Chefs de France for lunch one day, San Angel Inn another day for lunch, and Akershus another day for lunch. We have 2 dinners scheduled at Epcot: Le Cellier and Biergarten. The other Epcot evening, we are just going to walk around the countries and snack around the world! I definitely plan to spend some of my money and appetite on some pastries in France! I remember the chocolate mousse from there on our last trip and it was divine! Also love school bread in Norway and baklava in Morocco! I think Epcot has the best food of any of the 4 theme parks, by far!!!

Am I the only one who can't see Lesha's photos anymore? I am barely computer literate so it wouldn't be a surprise :sad1:

Thanx for the info on that character spot, will be sure to check it out :thumbsup2

Glad you enjoyed Teppan and that the company was good too :)

Actually for awhile I could see all the pics after La Cellier.... Now I can't see them anymore!!:confused::confused:

Boohoo -- cuz Lesha's pics are just as incredible as her entertaining reviews!!!

Just tuning in... I think we might be related, except you're the petite version of me. This report is amazing.

Go to guest relations and they should tell you if Max is roaming around!! I LOVE A Goofy Movie too!!! On the open road...LOL!!!

Sounds like such an awesome itinerary you got going on!!! :thumbsup2

OMGOSH the school bread was soooo awesome! First time to ever try it! Came highly recommend by the DIS of course! I have a pic somewhere! I'll try to find it right now!

:lmao: No I think there's an issue with my photobucket account!

Nope, can't see them here either. I think it has something to do with too many views.

Do you know if it's too many views from my photobucket account or from the Disboards?

Thanx for the info on that character spot, will be sure to check it out :thumbsup2

Yeah that character spot just popped up on us! It was amazing to meet so many characters without any people around! I'm so used to hoards of people that I usually just bypass the characters, but I totally loved it and the interaction!

I could see a little more then half.

I know that anything before Le Cellier you can't see anything, but those pics should be available for viewing tomorrow!

another one not seeing any pics:confused3

Ugh I'm sorry!

I thought I was the only one after day 1 the pictures are a photobucket message.

Before Le Cellier you can't view them until tomorrow (16th) thank goodness...as for the rest, i'm not sure what's up with that! I'm gonna try to post a sample picture to see if it's working for me today..

Blah, I'm so confused too!!!! i thought everything was going well!!! ARRRGGH!!!

Just tuning in... I think we might be related, except you're the petite version of me. This report is amazing.

:lmao: YES! I've always wanted a Disney Twin!!! :cool1:

I'm gonna try out this sample picture to see if you guys can see it! My pics seem to uploading fine, so i'm not sure why we can't see them, but let's try the School Bread from Norway for bangzoom!!!

OMGOSH!!! I could kill somebody right now!!!! I haven't received any messages about my photobucket account like I have for my first account...any ideas on what's going on or what I need to do? Do I need to erase some pictures from my account to free up some room, even though I only have 6 pages of pictures??! :confused3

Your bandwith(the amount of space) you used with them exceeds the amount they gave you. Some people open another account when this happends and move some of the pictures over to the new account(because it will have a new bandwith account). Also ask people not to quote your images back to you in their reply that helps too

I opened a new PB account about two weeks ago because my pics weren't showing up...and now this account is acting up even though I haven't received an email from PB about my photos and I can still upload them...

How annoying!

Aww, thanks so much for trying to post the pic of school bread!! We really loved it on our last trip and will be sure to have some on this trip! We have something in common...I have a crazy sweet tooth too, and I'm all about dessert! However, many times DH and I share a dessert when we go out to eat. Every night at home though, I have to have a little something sweet after dinner. Usually it is something small like a Weight Watchers cake (I normally eat very balanced at home and work out a lot), but it does the job. At lunch, I always end my meal with a fruit...again something sweet!!! I have to try and watch it thought at WDW...we will be there for 10 nights, and that is only part of our vacation, which is a total of 18 nights!!! Plus, a few days after we get home, we are driving up to Canada for 4 days to visit some relatives...and believe me, they make us eat plenty! I just hope my clothes still fit me afterwards! My sister is getting married in the middle of August, only a week after we get back from Canada!!

So, since I am talking about all this and worrying about my weight already...may I ask you, if you don't mind...how did you pace yourself and try and prevent a big weight gain on your trip? Last time I didn't do too bad...we were at Disney for 5 nights. Our trip altogether was 2 weeks though, between the drive down from NY and visiting relatives in southern Florida before Disney. I gained 4 and a half pounds on the whole trip. I only worked out a few times, and of course did a lot of walking at WDW. Not too bad. I lost it right after coming home too which made me happy. Did you work out at all during your trip? I was thinking of checking out the gym at the Boardwalk, where we will be staying, at least for the days we don't go to a park, so I can lift some weights maybe. Normally at home, I lift weights 3 days a week and do cardio twice a week, and take 2 rest days. If I didn't exercise I swear I would be a size 24 instead of a 4! OK, maybe that's an exaggeration, but you know what I mean!!

I have never tried the school bread, it looks way to sweet. Is it overwhelming to eat?

I didn't think it was too sweet, I thought the sweetness was just right. It was actually a nice balance because the pastry part was not very sweet but the icing was sweet (not all too much icing though, just the right amount). It is big though so DH and I shared it.

Omgosh I'm the same way!!! After lunch and dinner I HAVE to have something sweet otherwise I don't feel complete! :lmao: Sometimes as a dessert, I'll have chocolate milk made with 1% or 2% milk, because I still get that chocolate fix and it's filling!

To be honest, I really tried to not think about weight gain during the trip because it's really not relaxing stressing over how many calories that sauce has or what the fat content is of that cake, etc. As you can see from my meals, nothing was ever really healthy, but I didn't try to overeat at all..once I reached my fullness capacity I stopped! I'm usually pretty good at portion control I think! I did kick my cardio up a notch the week before my trip though. And I working out 2 or 3 times during our trip at the CSR exercise room. But really we walked so much it was ridiculous! I wore a pedometer and on one of the days I clocked in like 13 miles or something! And sometimes we were speed walking like at rope drop so that got my heart rate up! I usually work out 4-5 days a week, 3 days at 45 minutes of cardio, the other 2 at 60 minutes of cardio, then 3 days I do strength training, the other 2 days stomach only...right now I'm in between a size 4 and 6 which SUCKS because all my 4 stuff is a little snug, but all my 6 stuff is too big!!!

I have never tried the school bread, it looks way to sweet. Is it overwhelming to eat?

Oh it's soooo good!!! Not at all overwhelming! It's delicious!

Bangzoom, you just made me feel like a fat cow...I ate the whole thing to myself!!! :rotfl: Cardio here I come!!! :lmao:
