Before I start my review, I wanted to show you guys these cute character pics we were taking before lunch!!
If I remember correctly, theres a really large gate between Canada and the UK, I believe, that hosts a TON of character greets! And we were lucky, because just as they were closing the gate, we were able to sneak in!!

There wasnt many people in this area getting photographs, so it felt like a private character greeting! It was so cool!!
Gepetto asked for a kiss, so I gave him one, then Pinocchio asked for one on his nose, then another on his cheek! It was so funny!! They were fighting for my attention
who can blame them right??!?

Totally kidding!!
DH taking a pic with Rafiki from Lion King
Okay, how bout from the front now!
And I just thought this one was cute
its Max!!!
Ok, on to Teppan Edo!
I LOVE Japanese food!!! Just like sushi, I could have it everyday as long as I dont pull a Jeremy Piven
DH was debating between here and Tokyo Dining, but weve never done teppanyaki style dining together before so I knew it would be fun! Plus I love conversing with other people! So I thought it would be kinda cool to dine with others!!
We snagged an ADR for 12pm and we show up about 10 mins before and they hand us our buzzer and sit on the long bench near the hallway leading to the teppanyaki tables. At about 12 exactly, all the waitresses come out, and Im thinking theres a fire in the kitchen and theyre all evacuating very calmly and quietly?!

But then they all start speaking in unison in Japanese welcoming us to Tokyo Dining/Teppan Edo.
I guess this is performed everyday right at the opening of the restaurant!

It was such a great way to start off our meal! So if you can, try to come here for lunch right when they open so you can check this out! So neat!
Everyones buzzers all started going off at the same time and we got our little group together and started walking down the hall to our room!
Heres our room!!
And our table!
A waitress comes around and gives each person a hot towel to wipe their hands and face with before getting down to the nitty gritty (Nacho Libre)

and takes ours appetizer/drink orders. Btw, appetizers included on the dining plan are under the Otsumami, Soup, and Salad portion of the menu. Sushi is extra. So we order two iced green teas(2.95 @ 2), Edamame (Protein baby! 4.50), and the Assorted Tempura plate which had shrimp, chicken breast and seasoned vegetables with a Japanese dipping sauce (7.95)
Yeah, dont know where the heck my pics are for these!!! SORRY!!! But my edamame was of course awesome, since I LOVE edamame and sometimes keep it handy at the house for a snack and Im not a huge fan of fried things, but if you love tempura, youre gonna like this! DH ate it up like there was no tomorrow! Maybe thats why theres no pics?! We ate it all too fast!
So for our Entrees, I ordered the Ebi plate shrimp and includes seasonal vegetables with udon noodles and steamed rice ~23.95
DH ordered the Ueno - chicken breast and large shrimp and includes seasonal vegetables with udon noodles and steamed rice ~24.95
Ive seen this guy here on the boards, so he felt like a celebrity to me! And I was so excited for the show!
The Onion Steamer!!!
And heres the finished product!
So good! I think it tastes even better knowing he made it right in front of me and I was able to see what he was doing the entire time!
The rice was good and sticky, the shrimp was cooked to perfection and the veggies were wonderful! Love squash! Could have had some more noodles, but no worries! The dipping sauces were terrific! The top one was for the shrimp and the middle one was for the veggies I believe. The white one was for chicken, which I didnt have, but tasted yummy with DHs chicken! A very simple, basic meal turned out incredibly good and filling!
The Desserts:
We felt like cows at this point
we were the only ones at the table with Deluxe Dining, and this is the first time in how long, DH decides to order a dessert! Doh!!! Lol! Oh well...fat cows we are then cuz Im getting dessert too!
Im seriously such a disappointment yet again!!! No pics! Well I can tell you what we had though
I had the Chocolate Ginger Cake, which was bomb!!! (5.95) A very interesting combo which worked flawlessly together! DH had the Green Tea Pudding (6.50) It looks like flan but tastes better than flan
I DESPISE flan! Blah!
For those using the Deluxe Dining Plan, they take 1 credit per person because its a Table service restaurant, so its 2 credits total.
For those paying OOP, here was our total for 2 iced teas, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts, with tax = $84.89
A little expensive for lunch, but worth it I say. Our table was somewhat fun, the chef was entertaining, the food was great, what more could you ask for? Now that Teppan Edo has been scratched off our list, were gonna check out Tokyo Dining next time.
Sayonara!
