Ugh....UGGS -- where can I find them discounted? Do they run big?

My daughter's feet have finally stopped growing. She is a 9.5 - 10. She wants a pair of classic short UGGS. I'm thinking discounts are so hard to find, it might be easier just to buy them at full price (but it kills me to do that LOL).

So my question -- how hard is it to find discounts on the classic short boots? And, if she wears a 9.5-10 -- what size should I purchase?

Can't help you with the discounts, but I will tell you I am a 9.5 and bought size 10. Too big. They stretch. Next time I'm getting a 9.

I found a thread with a $25 off discount at Plow & Hearth so I was able to order them for about $130. Every dollar savings counts!

I went with the 10 -- we can always exchange if they are way too big.

I won't preach here, but you may want your dd to see how they are made if she doesn't already know. If for no other reason then it is a fad in my area for the girls to NOT wear those boots due to cruelty issues. Expensive present if she turns around and doesn't want to wear them in a few weeks!

Be careful with this company. I used a coupon and they charged me full price anyway. It has been a nightmare dealing with them. Four phone calls and I still do not have a resolution.

They must have read the trendy forward that floated around. Hopefully they are also avoiding anything leather. You know, like coach purses, leather belts, coats, boots etc. It's all the same thing.

It really amazes me how many people were so shocked that sheepskin boots were made from *gasp* sheepskin!!

My DD is a vegetarian and she had no problem wearing her UGGs. She's had 3 pairs. I also bought her last pair from Plow and Hearth and they gave me the discount and their customer service was awesome. I bought the wrong color and they allowed me to exchange for the correct color and still gave me the discount.

Yes, my dd is a vegetarian, doesn't wear leather etc. (well before the trend with these boots) and she kinda gets cracked up by the girls doing this and wearing their leather boots and eating hamburgers ...

No kidding! I got a lecture about UGGS at a holiday party this weekend. I grew up in a rural area with a father who hunts. I totally know where sheepskin and leather come from!

I tried on a few pair just to see what all the brouhaha was and found that they run VERY narrow (only had pantyhose on). I usually take a size 10, but 10s were too tight on me, 11s were nowhere to be found. May be different for your DD, especially if she has narrow feet.
Luckily, my 2 DDs never saw the appeal in UGGS and both go out of their way to not follow any trends (e.g. North Face furry jackets). Oldest DD was wearing galaxy print clothes she made herself 4 years ago, long before that trend,lol. Saved us a lot of $$ too!

Uggs run big. I have several pair and I normally wear a 7. I wear a 6 with my uggs. I do not wear socks with my classic ones. I do however wear socks with my sweater ones because without the socks they seem to flop around. They are very hard to find on sale or discounted. Good luck!

I finally gave up looking for discounts and ordered my DD a new pair yesterday directly from uggaustralia.com . The sites with coupon codes never seemed to have the styles I was looking at. She already has a pair of the classic camel ones, and they are about worn out at this point. They do seem to run big, so they last a couple of seasons for us.

ETA - I saw the short style with a button the side for $69.99 at Marshalls recently. They did say irregular or something similar on them, but looked fine to me.
