I am about to book my flights so then things will be set in stone. Turns out by us taking an earlier flight it save us close to $1000 on flights... so we have to do that!

This will be a trip with my DH and two little boys ages 2.5 and almost 4.

New Schedule:

Saturday: We should be at POP by 11am... But they won't let me check in then right? So what should we do this day? I thought about trying to get the boys to nap or at least rest. Have dinner at Chef Mickey's and then maybe going to see one of the night shows/fireworks since I am not sure if they will make it that late with the excitement of being in a park all day? But that won't work if we can't check in anyway.

Sunday: MK
Monday: AK
Tuesday: Epcot
Wednesday: DHS
Thursday: MK
Friday: Flight Leaves at 6:35PM What would you do with this day?

I am glad to save money but now I have to change all my ADRs and hope I can get new ones! UGH!

You can check in, but your room may not be ready. Typically they will give you a card to call after a certain time to get your room#...you can leave your carry-ons w/bell services and be on your way! This would be a good day to swim or check out DTD. You also may want to plan a rest day in the middle of your trip so you have a chance to sleep/swim/relax/repeat! Friday would be a good day to do AK, DTD or swim. If you are using Magical Express, count on them picking you up about 3 hours before your flight time. Have a great trip!

We had an early flight on our most recent trip. We arrived at the Orlando airport at about 10:15. We went to our hotel and checked in (room was not ready) but they gave us a number to call to check periodically. Our room ended up being ready about 30 minutes before "official" check-in time. The resort stored our luggage and we went to DTD. We bummed around the shops had lunch and stretched our legs after flying all morning. It really was a nice way to ease into the Disney lifestyle. When our room was ready we freshed up and then headed to the Poly for the luau. It was a good way to spend our first day. We still got a "disney fix", but did not use and park admission days.

P.S. Use your last day to do whatever you kids liked the best. We spent our last day meeting and greeting characters at AK. My son had a great time and slept through almost the entire flight home.

Why do you have to change your ADR's? Did your dates change or just your flight times?

We arrived early too and our plan was to use the pool. BUT I forgot to pack our suits in the carry-on. Since we did Magical Express we didn't have our actual suit cases so no luck. Instead we went to DTD and then after check-in and relaxing we went to Chef Mickey's for dinner. And that was more than enough for the first day, especially since we were up since 4am!

Other than that, we did the parks in the same exact order as you mentioned, with MK on the first and last full day. I would do DTD on the last day to do any shopping you missed.

We're arriving somewhat early too on this trip. I feel iffy about our day one too w/ flying out at 7:30 in the morn. My org thought was get a jump start and arrive early to get suff done, since this is a shorter trip in days than our first. With scheduling a full rest day no park toward the end (that really worked great last time) I don't want to give it up or lose 1 day on our already purchased tickets.

So we decided with hopeful no flight delays we'll be at the Poly around noon and just rest and hang there for about 2 hrs. Then head out to the studios in time for a 3:00 pm ADR and just stay till past 7pm about a 4-hr chunk.

Now if your stuck with tickets already purchased for all of your days there. Maybe just a small chunk of time like that at MK, picking rides attractions that have shorter lines say in the afternoon or early eve. Go to CR, Poly or GF via the monorail for a character meal and then you can depart from the TTA on a bus back to Pop.

Hope what ever you decide or works out when your there you have FUN!:goodvibes

We are going a day early now... the flight difference was huge like I said. So I don't have to changed all the plans... we weren't doing AK before b/c there wasn't enough days. Anyway... I just need to plan something for Saturday night dinner and then change Sunday and Monday. They rest of it can pretty much stay.

I am such a "GO GO GO" type of person... I am trying to learn to calm down and take it easy with 2 young kids, but it is hard! lol

I would say pack your swimsuits in your carryon (and 3 oz bottles of suntan lotion, flip flops, sunglasses, etc) and plan on swimming in the afternoon. Chances are your two kids will be too geared up (DS was when we took him at 2.5) to take a nap the first day, and may even have trouble getting to sleep. A good long swim will help wear them out and stretch everyone's muscles after being on the plane.

If you don't want to eat dinner at POP, you could always go to DTD, or go to another resort to eat (like Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge).
