Ugh...Booked DW but now wishing for DCL instead

So Disney sent me a pin for 35% off a deluxe room. And I thought great since we have opted for Jamaica the last 2 years plus did a DCL in Oct. So now I'm all booked for WL 8/17-23 before DS6 goes back to school but now I am really wishing I would have just booked another DCL for either Sept or Oct. I can make Ressies now and don't even feel like it.

Trying to decide if I should just cancel WDW and book the cruise. I had use the pin by 2/15 so I don't know I could just change it to 2 nights at WL in Sept and then add on the cruise or not.

Plus DH is complaining about how hot it will be in Aug.

What to do???????

I agree that August is not ideal, but you can make the best of it. Hit the parks early, back to WL to swim, back to parks in the evening. You mention the cruise, but have you done the parks with your DS? 6 is such a great age for WDW... he's old enough to ride just about everything but still young enough to enjoy characters and the magic of Disney. Are you talking about it with him and is he excited about it?
