We flying BWI to MCO tomorrow....

So I go to check us all in on-line and my husband's confirmation # won't work. So I called and guess what.....He has to check in at the airport...

He's not on any no-fly list because last year he flew alot.....but the SW agent said it likely was because he had a one-way ticket.....Duh most SW tickets are one-way.....

So there's the start of our vacation...... :headache:

Stuff like that happens. You have to have extra patience when you are flying. The computer selects random people for screening so it wasn't anything that he did.

Psst! Once in awhile Southwest gate agents give you a pixie dust special if you were subjected to secondary screening and the inability to check in on line left you with a C pass -- they might let you join the rest of your family with A passes in the A queue (or give you a special A pass, it's colored blue). Bring a print screen of the Southwest message telling you to check in at the airport when you ask.

Actually we don't care about the "c" pass....(We're flying with my 2 yo nephew so DN becomes the "A" pass) but its fustrating because with all the weather related flight stuff I feel the need to get to the aiport earlier to avoid any getting bumped issues.....

Just wanted to wish a terrific trip. Enjoy the new Southwest pasrt of BWI. Checking in was a lot easier there (at least it was last week). Say good bye from the snow and have a blast. Sad our trip is over. Enjoy!!!

Hey goofyforlife, this just happened to my husband yesterday. He really wanted to check-in online for his flight to San Antonio this morning but Southwest wouldnt let him either. He called up and the agent said she tried to check him and, asked a friend to try, and no one could do it. He was worried since his flight was at 9am from BWI and he had to leave from DC this morning and was worried about delays, bumps, etc. too. It all worked out when he got there though and he was fine.

Thanks for the words of encouragement Justine..... Guess they're just getting overprotective close to the holidays and such.........
Did they have to search his luggage or anything?

(oooh San Antonio....Is that one of his interview sites?)

Yep it is. He's there now, eating dinner with them, sorta a pre-interview social event. He said he didn't have any problems checking in once he was there and no special security line, but the gate agent told him that it just happens sometimes (which of course didn't help him at all). He asked for an A pass since he couldn't check-in online and they said no. He didn't really care since he was flying alone, but though he'd ask cause he wanted to get some breakfast without having to worry about waiting in the B line to get a good spot. Of course, he was there about 3 hours early so I don't know what he was worried about, but he's weird like that about planes. (Hates travelling with me and Madison cause I refuse to sit at the airport 3+ hours like he wants to-way to hard with a toddler!)

Have a great trip!
