UC Tickets & Universal Entry Process

If I purchase Universal tickets through Undercover Tourist, are they already "activated" and ready for use? I thought I remember reading somewhere that you have to go activate them at the ticket counter before you can enter the park. Also, is it easier to have them emailed and use my phone for entry? (I'd hate to forget the tickets when we leave home!)

Also, can UC tickets be used to add Express Pass if we decide to do that?

Undercover Tourist sells actual tickets. You can take them right to the gate. Yes you can add express to any ticket.
