uber vs lyft

What would you recommend from LAX? Used uber before but wondering if lyft is any cheaper/better?

A lot of people recently prefer Lyft as a company. Lyft can be cheaper. You can download both apps and see which one is cheaper in real time when you're ordering. I always just go with the cheapest one.

Many driver drove for both...the experience will generally be the same.

Uber tends to have more availability, but that is less of an issue in more populated areas especially near LAX and DL.

We always use Lyft. Primarily because the ex CEO for Uber was a complete prick.

Actually Lyft seems to be more popular now. It’s good to check both. Also they often run promotions for good discounts.

I drive for Lyft, but prior to that I only used Lyft as their ex CEO was an awful person. A lot of drivers have left Uber for Lyft since Uber just lowered their payments.

In terms of reliability and ride experience I have found that they are identical (and many drivers actually drive for both). It also seems to me that Lyft tends to be cheaper and to offer more promotional prices. I agree with pp to just go with the cheapest one. That's what we'll be doing when we take a cab from LAX to GCH in a couple of weeks.
