Uber to Port Canaveral?

Has anyone used Uber XL from the Swan/Dolphin or other Disney resorts to get to Port Canaveral? We would like to try Uber to get to the port for a Saturday Fantasy departure and are a family of 5.

I'm not sure about Orlando but here in AZ there are many places that do not allow Uber to pick up.

I am going out on a limb, as I don't know the intricacies of über, but I would guess that is kinda far and out of the Orlando area. I too would be surprised if Disney allowed guests to be picked up.

I love, love, LOVE Uber but it would make me a little nervous to count on having an XL available to take me that far on the morning of the cruise. There's no guarantee one would be available/willing and if you weren't able to get one, you'd have to scramble to arrange transportation. You'd probably end up spending at least $100 on an UberXL, for an extra $50-$65 you can book a black SUV. It might be worth it for the peace of mind knowing it's taken care of. We used these guys in the past and loved them.

I think it was $165 each way to and from Disney. They provided a booster seat for our DD and they let us stop on the way there to get some alcohol to bring on board which saved us a little money.

Yes, Uber does pick up all over the WDW.

Yep, I used uber all over at WDW with no problem at all. I'd be nervous about getting one large enough and willing to go to the port at the time I want though.

I have used uber at Disney and it was generally great (and cheap). I would leave lots of extra time to get to the Port though. I take ubers a lot and have had many drivers get lost, not know where to pick me up, etc, so that it added a good 10 minute wait time. At Port Orleans, it took an uber driver 15 minutes to get there and I had been quoted 6 minutes.

You can price out the trip on the uber estimates website. I agree with the above poster that it might be close to the same price to arrange for a car if you plan to order an Uber XL and you avoid the worry of waiting for the uber.
