Ub Iwerks

I'm reading a book on Walt Disney's life, and I'm watching the tin boxed sets of early Mickey Mouse cartoons, and I keep reading the name Ub Iwerks. Turns out he was an important guy in the early Disney days, and then later on when he invented Circlevision 360 and some other technologies.

But I have no clue how to pronounce his name. I've read that originally it was spelled Ubbe Iwwerks, so is it You-bee? Or is it Uhb? Or perhaps Yube? Or something else?

Who knows how to pronounce Ub Iwerks' name?

Just in case anyone else was wondering...

I was able to find out that it's pronounced "Ub" as in "Sub" or "Club", and "Iwerks" as in "Eye-works".
