u-verse?

We have been considering u-verse for some time. We had door to door salespeople last night and in a weak moment I signed up. I can't help but have this feeling I missed something. Anyone know of any common cons involved in the door to door deals? I did notice this morning on the att website that I was eligible for a cash back deal which I did not get last night. However, the price I was quoted last night was cheaper.

I'm also concerned with the paperwork itself. There are prices listed for each service then a lower price written to the side and circled. The lower price, I was told, is the price I will pay. Maybe I am overly skeptical but wanted to see if other had any similar experiences they could share?

When I signed-up for mine 2+ years ago, it was because of a hanging door tag -- at the time, that was the best incentive deal going to get in.

2 years later -- no regrets!

We got it about six months ago. We love it! No pricing problems yet.

We got it almost 2 years ago and love it. My DFIL had it longer than that before he died. I will say the rebate system was a little confusing, but we did get all of the money we were promised.

I love the service and hope to never have to use comcast again!

Just signed up last march. We are paying the promised price. So far I like it better than Comcast! I have the bundle with the internet and phone service, and it's neat that when the phone rings, the caller ID pops up on the TV screen! :) I can also block telemarketer calls using the phone service. The house has never been so quiet during the day! And I can program the DVR online...there are a ton of neat features.

Here's my pricing issue. The promotional price I am getting is $15 less than I would buy if I signed up online. However, right now there is a $300 reward card for online enrollment. So I could effectively cancel the order from last night and enroll online for the reward card. Just don't know if it's worth the hassle.

When we signed up the deal offered by the door to door folks was better than anything I could find online.

Why don't you call the salesperson you worked with last night, tell him/her about the deal you found online, and see if they can do better than what you were quoted.

If you get a good salesperson they can be a big help. When I wanted one of my receivers moved the phone agent told me I would have to pay a fee to have a tech come out. I called my sales guy and he arranged to have the fee waived with one quick phone call. :thumbsup2

No problems with uverse, except I wish you could rewind live TV on the secondary receivers. Easy enough to work around by recording whatever you're watching, but not what I was used to with Cox.

Good Luck!
