U.S. SUPREME COURT OVERTURNS CARTER NOBEL PEACE PRIZE: Awards Prize to President Bush

WASHINGTON DC, OCT. 14 - In a landmark 5-4 decision, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the decision of the Nobel Prize Committee to award this year's Peace Prize to former President Jimmy Carter, and instead declared President George W. Bush to be the winner.

Writing for the majority, Justice Antonin Scalia explained, "The [Nobel Prize] Committee demonstrated clear disregard for well-established democratic processes. Such abuse cannot be tolerated by any free government."

A spokesperson for the Nobel Prize Committee questioned whether the Court had jurisdiction over who received the award. Justice Scalia dismissed these concerns, retorting bluntly, "Well, I question your jurisdiction!"

Jimmy Carter, upon learning of the Court's decision, was said to mumble, "****," before going back to shingling the roof on a single-family house in Rwanda.

President Bush was understandably pleased with the decision. "Hot dog!" he grinned before retreating back into the war room to finalize the details for his assault on Iraq.

That's horrible! If they had to do something like that, that should have awarded it to both of them.
