U.G. est. travel times b/w resorts & parks

Are the travel times provided in the Unofficial Guide between resorts to parks accurate?

I didn't even think to check this on our recent trip -- no bus ride seemed that long (except the one when we were soaking wet!). If their estimates are accurate -- why do the busses take SOOOOOO long from CBR? It just doesn't make sense to me -given CBR more central location -- it gave an estimate over 40 minutes to get to EPCOT. What gives?

We have found that the time estimates in the Unofficial Guide to be way over exaggerated. The Caribbean Beach Resort IS very centrally located. It never ever took us 40 minutes to get to Epcot.

I think they go by if you just missed the bus and have to wait for the next one. So it includes total wait time and driving time.

They use to show you the "best time" and the worse case time to get to the parks, now I believe they call it the most likely time it will take (not even a true average) the times are certainly long now! And I don't agree w/ them at all. We stayed at POFQ last Oct and nothing took longer than 20mins and that was only to MK the farthest park from our resort. I don't think they should include wait times. Just simply say if you miss a bus, it may take 20 mins for another. (then people can add that to their times) I just want to know, once I get on a bus, how long does it take! Of course at some resorts, it does depend which stop you're at, so I can see a range for them. But really, some of those times show >1hr getting to DTD...no way.

I am now driving the MK hub. So far, the actual drive time has not been more than 15 minutes from the MK to any of the resorts. Now depending on the time of day, traffic outside the MK, timing of the busses etc, it may take upto the times in the UG.

However, you would need to be pretty unlucky to get to those times.
