I'm going to just speak in faith to DD's quick recovery and that the current antibiotics that she is on will whisk away everything it needs to!

SO excited for football season!! I am a west coast fan... sorry ladies but I am Niners Faithful all the way... But I really do hope to see Tebow flourish somewhere... it was sad that the Jets didn't really take the time with him..that's okay...all are welcome here. And yes I m hoping Tebow is comfortable and flourishes under Belichek

With that said... you are the queen of suspense Dee! I am waiting on pins and needles about all the surprises and "secrets" we get to hear about when you return! Well, let's just wait to see if I end up blowing it. But, DD#1 is very noisy. DS#2 likes a surprise. So, let's see how the college graduastion surprises go.

Ok, a quick question... why do posters say that "they are in" or "subbing" on a PTR or a TR? Should I have told you that first before posting? Omgoodness, what a dumb thing to ask but I just gotta! ... So, they can follow along. Once you post on a thread you can go to your user cp and see what thread you are subscribed to that someone has commented after your last comment on that thread. That is how most of us manage to keep up. You can by clicking on one of the drop down menus at the top & it will drop down the word "subscribe" doing it that way, noone has to know you are "lurking" either way works fine. I just am happy you joined in!


ENJOY your movie night with DD! I have 3 preteens and my DD6 having a sleepover right now... so I believe that sleep may be a 4 letter word for me tonight!

I hate sleepovers. DD#1 went to one at about 8yrs old & her friend decided to tell her ALL about the birds & the bees. AND I MEAN ALL about!!!! Why another 8/9 yr old knew those details is still beyond my wildest dreams. To this day my DD says she is never having children. That the thought of an alien growing inside her is repulsive. I may never have grandchildren. Although DD says she already has a baby & askes why I don't love my first grandchild. Well, I do love our DOG, but he is not a baby!

So, I actually already responded to this. And ended it by saying the birds are beginning to chirp, so I was going to try to sleep. I left the disboards. Went over to quickly check in on facebook. Saw something I wanted to post here regarding my DD's "baby". When I came back here to post it, my previous comment wasn't posted. So.... hopefully this will post. And below is what I saw posted on FB by my DD.

Love it. But, do you see what I mean about DD feeling it is fine for her "babies" to have fur. In reality she loves children & I am confident when the time is right she will either have a child she give birth to, or she will have a child she adopted. She some day will be a wonderful Mommy.

Sleep tight all. I think perhaps now I can sleep. Sun is up. Birds have stopped chirping.

Seriously - 8 y/o know that much about the deed? Rediculous - IMO! And to make it public knowledge at a sleepover - I'd totally be contacting that parent.

Thank goodness she's a she. I blame hormones. I would never name my child after a celebrity. Not sure what dh excuse is.
Not meaning to offend anyone. Still like the name Vincent... But not naming after a celebrity unless I just plain love the NAME... Not the person. Haha

I was blessed enough to meet Jerry Rice at a Pirates Premier at DLR... such a cool guy! I have to admit that being the Niner fan that I am, I was almost more excited to meet him than I was Johnny Depp... Almost. I'm excited to see how Kaepernick does this year...

How exciting. I say this slouching in my seat, head down.... I'm not a huge JD fan. I know I know... just ... love the original ride, for me the movies kinda ruined it. sorry everyone. Almost like it took my vision of how it all played out away. I feel the same way about most music videos. I'm old.

no updates. Still praying they let DS#2 in on the ressie. Especially now since I ordered DD a mini cake. I guess if they can't sit us all, I will just ask for the cake & pay for it. Eat else where, ask if they can put it in their frig until after we eat. This is the worse part for me. I wish they would just say, oh yes, of course we can squeeze one more chair onto your ADR of 6.

This was part of the scenery where we spent a good part of the day today. I totally enjoyed spending time, not stressing about getting everything done. A wonderful day to relax and just enjoy each others company, and the beautiful gift of nature. Combine that with some appreciation of our forefathers battles. It was an almost perfect day.
Now, tonight I will review the Disney plans with a fresh mind & spirit.

And as far as your DD never having children, in 9 days I'm traveling to Virginia to help my oldest DD get ready for her 4th child (who is due in 3 weeks). Yes, this is the same DD who said I would have to get all my grandkids from the other three since she was never, ever having children! Her sister came home from college after seeing a birth on film in one of her classes and said "I just want to thank you." and I asked her why. She said "For having a SECOND baby once you knew what it was like!" Haha! She also said she didn't think she wanted to have any children. She now has two. Soooo, all is not lost yet. Of course our son, who has been married for 7 years still just has the dog.....

Thank you. Yes, thank God she is feeling better. I was getting nervous when she was having pain in her neck (turns out normal from the swollen saliva gland), because in our home town mosquitoes were found with West Nile. I am glad I found out about that after she began feeling better.

Which is really funny now, (my uncle used to tell us girls this & we have always told her this), because she came down with GERD about a month after dating her current boyfriend. (and that was when she was 16.) I still tell him her GERD is his fault. who knows it might be.

Yeah, I was pretty upset. We both cried. Ironically enough, I just found out yesterday the girl that told my DD this is having twins in Dec. guess she wasn't tramatized. hehehehe ..... she will be (insert evil laugh).

Can't stay on comp too long as roofers are throwing my vertigo into a whirlwind.

hello everyone. I was just reviewing where I left off (other than football), and I realized while talking about my DD's "baby" I never posted the link even though the moderator said I could. So, here it is. I hope it brings smiles, not tears. It takes 2:11 minutes.

Now about the trip. I have 1 box of goodies packed. Then I realized I forgot to take pictures so as soon as I can get it out without my noisy daughter sneaking in I will unpack take pictures and post them. I am actually very pleased with how they came out.

Now, the not so good news. As I mentioned our roof is being redone. It hasn't been done since before we bought the house which was in the late 80's. So, it is WAYYYY over due. We were afraid it was going to cost 10's of thousands of dollars. We were very pleased when someone we love & trust recommended a roofer that came in thousands below what we expected. It is taking them much longer, BUT, they have had alot of rain. Speaking of rain, do you know what is not good when it rains? To have your roof exposed to the elements!!!!!!! arghhh DS calls Dh & I while we are out to tell us his room is soaked! Yup, the roofers had striped the old shingles, patched a piece of the roof & didn't have time to get the protective tar paper on before the clouds opened up. But, of course that is only to add insult to injury, because while they were trying to work on the roof somehow they put a huge divot in our DD's wall. And, they have been unplugging the pool filter to plug in there tools. Of course we haven't been going in the backyard because it is such a mess with t hem working, so didn't notice the pool has green ....ah.... the best descritption I can think of is lilly pads in it. URGH! Not sure how much this roof is going to end up costing us in the end. The roofer has offered to patch & paint, but DH & I have decided to do it ourselves. We certainly have patched & painted before. My main concern now it to get up in the attic to see the damage there, but that is something I really can't do right now. So, we have to wait until DH has some free time. It is really a tough place to get in & out of. But, I am afraid all my Christmas decorations and luggage are ruined. That is all I sstore up there. Hey, wait....if my luggage is ruined.... I can buy new luggage. I know my & DD's new luggage isn't up there, because I never got that far. Just the old soft sided is up there. Oh, and some old baby clothes favorites from when the kids were tiny. All that is in sealed plastic bags, so I'm not worried if that gets wet.

So, depending on what the final cost is going to be and a couple other unexpected bills, I may have to cut down more on our trip.
I know I will not give up CM, or BoG (unless they can't sit all of us), the others may have to go. I can cook in the resort for the last 3 nights. And we will have the van so we can go to Chix Filet or Wendys, Taco Bell, etc.
I just REALLY don't want to have to get rid of the surprises, but we will see. Looks like eggs and pb& j for the next few weeks.

On a happy note, tomorrow DD#2 and I are going to get hair cuts. I can't wait. Then I will walk out & wish I didn't get it cut, then in about 4 days I will like it again, And by the time we go on the trip I will be so happy I had it done. So, it's all good.

I found a cute way of doing finger nails. I have to pick up a couple other colors, then I will do them & post pictures.
