Some updates. good, bad and well, you decide...

So, good first. Mickey mail came today. Actually, our mailman who is wonderful. He's pleasant, loves our dog, punctual, and makes sure mail is not destroyed when we get it. We miss him when he has time off. Today he delivered our mail. On time as usual. junk mail, reminder of dentist appts. , nothing worthy of getting excited about. So, off to church we went. Late as usual. We have a running joke, who will get to their seat first, us or the priest. Today, it was a close call. We made it to the seat first, but he made it to the alter first. ooops. Ah, he loves us anyway. After church we were to meet DDBF's parents. We had enough time to go home & change. Which was a very good thing considering we got poured on between our car & the church door. As in, my sandals where swishing. yuk! Well, when we walked into the house I immediately noticed a pkg on my computer. hmmm.... DD says Rich (the mailman) delivered, with an apology he had missed it. Imagine, he came out again to make sure we got it? He is a great guy. Anyway... it was Mickey Mail!!! Our photopass +. I had no idea it came in a package. We haven't had a chance to look at it. Because I had to run and hide it from DD#2. I am so excited to look at it.
Also, I got a few minutes to recheck the goodie bags.

Now, I realize I haven't told you the "other" item we purchased. But, I have to wait to get a photo of it. Then I will post it.

Also, I finally got in touch with what I am hoping is the correct number to order DD#2 (the birthday girl) her cake for BoG. We decided to do a mini (FYI disney calls them mini wedding cake) cake as the ADR is for 9:15, so I don't think we will all need cake after our meal. Plus their desserts are so good, I know I would prefer one of those.
I'm not sure how much of the details I have given you on ordering this cake.
Long story short. I called no less than 4 times. I would call the cake hotline, that would give me another number that is "new" for taking cake orders for BoG. I would call that number and they would give me another number, which would give me the number of the cake hotline! Needless to say, I was more than a little frustrated. Finally, I thought I had the right number, was about to call it, and DD came to me & refused to leave my side. A day she needed mommy time. Well, she is the priority. So, I sent off an email I had gotten from the cake chatter thread on the disboards here. So, when I got the chance I called and left a message as well. They contacted me by phone, and Thomas started to tell me that I needed to call...stop...I have been transferred to them, they give me another number that gives me the number I just reached you at. And I gently laughed. He giggled a little himself. Apologized to me. Said the other number is the one, but he assured me he would make sure my request got where it needed to be. I thanked him. He took my information. Referred to it as a mini wedding cake. asked the flavor & what I would like it to say. Asked colors. Again apologized and again assured me he would get the information to whom it needed to get to. I profusely thanked him. I asked if there was a survey, because I would like to take it. He said no. I asked if he had a supervisor, as I would like to advise him of how much Thomas had helped me. He told me yes, and asked me if I could hold. I agreed to hold. I held, and held, and held, and held until finally.... I got disconnected. **sigh**
Then, today I got an email today from Donald telling me he had received my email and they would be happy to help me. Asked if I had a theme for my daughters birthday at BoG. He advised me the smallest 2 tier mini cake that is available is 8" or 6" stacked. So, in response I told him. ... @#%@&! No, I didn't. In reality I said, thank you but I spoke with Thomas, who hopefully has already put the wheels in motion. He responded by advising me he would confirm that. And before you knew it .. He emailed me with this, "yes Dee that is correct. I chekced the order and have it in the book." He went on to tell me if I had any questions please feel free to contact us. and " To place the order please call our private dining department at 407-824-2955".... yup you guessed it, the number that kept telling me they don't take specialty cake orders for BoG. To this second, I am not sure who I should call if I need to request a specialty cake for a BoG restaurant. You know what, I don't really care as long as my sweet birthday girl gets her very own birthday cake immediately after her dinner at BoG on her 10th birthday. Notice how precise I was on that? I have learned with Disney to be specific. Reminds me of advise a very good friend of mine once gave me. He said, "when you pray be specific. God gets a lot of requests".

Love that your mailman came back to deliver your PP+... We received ours yesterday too. FYI... THere is a little slip of paper attached to the front - that is your VOUCHER for get your PP+ card when you get to WDW, make sure that goes with you, otherwise you won't be able to do pp+. Then, there is a CD in there with a TON of stock images on it. I have not popped it into my pc yet, but I hope to do that in the coming days so I have some really awesome images for my phone wallpapers.

Our tickers are getting sooo low - we are now officially in the 20's!

In other news... Although I am not making shirts this trip I have ordered some. Hot Topic had some cut muscle style shirts for woman and niceAvenger tshirts. I am waiting for the girl shirts to come in. Then I will try to rennet to post pictures. Also, a company called Delsol makes colt change tshirts. So I ordered us each one. Problem is the girls run very small. Dd will get the one I ordered for me. But that is okay, since the youngest will probably get the one I ordered for older DD. lol. Little DD should be fine since I ordered her a small woman's "knowing" it would be a little big. Haha

Okay, I need to stop walking into stores and/or shopping online.

Today, I walked into the pharmacy to pickup the little ones RX. (double ear infections and waiting for labs for other issues.) and low & behold there are MU goodies. So... I couldn't resist.

FIRST DD has decided all by herself that she needs some type of countdown for her birthday. Well, who am I to argue. So, I casually suggest a disney countdown calendar.

DH gift from my deceased Dad. Dad always loved photography. He bought me my first camera. And a few years ago he sent us a extremely unusually generous check for Christmas so he bought me my DSLR. When he passed I bought myself things to remember him by. DH has resisted spending any of "Dad's money" on himself. He feels he drives the car, so he needs nothing else. Then when we were at the outlets the other day, DH saw a handycam. Well, Dad LOVED home movies. Just about a month before he passed we sat & watched hours and hours of his & his gf's vacation video, videos of a community Christmas parade of golf carts from where he lived in FLA. HE so so enjoyed it. So, I talked DH into how happy my Dad would be that we spend some of his money on this purchase. So, without further adieu..

You'll be surprised at how easy ordering the photopass CD is... And how fun it is editing your pictures. It's, by far, our favorite souvenir - and totally worth the $$ spent.

Love Del Sol... We have tons of their stuff... Bags, headbands, tees, nail polish... It's so much fun!

I hope littlest dd is feeling better... I've learned it's best to get this out of the way before your trip... On our 2003 trip, the girls finished off a round of antibiotics the morning before we left (they each had strep)... It was kind of reassuring to go down to FL, knowing they still had some antibiotics left in them.

Love the luggage! If I was in the market for new, I would consider them, however, I just bought myself new luggage for my trip to Hawaii in March.

My dh just bought himself a movie camera like the one your dh bought. I think they are fantastic. I also need to convert all my vhs tapes to cds. Dh says his dvd player will do it, just have not ventured into his office/cave to see for myself. Need to do that soon.

I do love del sol but hadn't ordered girls tshirts from them before. I found they ran slim. Men's ran true to size though.
I agree about having the antibiotics in the system before vacation. Right now she is only on ear drops. Hoping doc calls in oral antibiotics tomorrow as her fever reached 102.6 . Plus I always worry when I take them to the pediatrician s the come home with viruses. Can't win .
I really love dds luggage and it was a reasonable price! Both pieces under $100.

I know what you mean about having to transfer VHS to DVD now the new thing will be blue ray, then something else, etc.,etc. personally I just keep going to yard sales a d thrift shops and buy there VHS players. Plus, sad as it I inherited both my parents Vcrs within the past year or so. Of course I also got dads home movies that I will eventually have to have converted to something. Who knows maybe be then it will be holograms. Lol

Thank you Ruthie. She is so miserable. The left side of her face is swollen. I give her medicine, she sleeps, she wakes, she cries. I snuggle with her she whines, the fever increases. I give her medicine, and we go through it all over again. Today the prescribed oral antibiotics plus the ear drops, plus the fever reducer. And thank goodness the pharmacy had the RX this time. I have a suspicion the doctor called the RX in personally & gave them a piece of her mind,about not having the ear drops the other day.
Anyway, we were told if she is not noticeably improved by Friday, we are to bring her back. And if she heads down hill we are to call IMMEDIATELY.

I hope you are doing okay. My computer is acting up sporadically. Hoope you got my email.

Well, back to snuggling with my patient.
