So, back on the farm.... well not really a farm. Although there used to be a pig farm up the street a ways. But, that is another story.


After realizing we were already able to do online check in. I went on the computer last night & checked us in to both our resorts. (does anyone else think that is weird to allow us checked into both resorts without us even leaving our home yet?). And I checked DS's and DDBF into their dvc resort. However, I wasn't able to do online check in for their CSR. DS already had a Disney experience account, so he had to do it. Which he was planning on doing tonight. We will see if he remembers.

I also canceled 1 ADR. I didn't save the way I wanted to, and I added a couple extra surprises, so something had to go. I am pretty sure I am going to cancel another one too. I just can't decide which one next.

Anyone care to guess which ADR I canceled?


In shopping news.... I ordered DH a pair of sandals. The rest of our clan tends to think he looks awkward in sandals. I must admit I agree. Although, I don't think it is the look. I think he actually walks different in them. Like he is always walking is soft sand or something. weird I know. but that is us... weird. So, regardless, I ordered him a pair of Tevo sandals. They were very expensive, but I figure I really want him to be as comfortable as possible in the heat. Especially if he will be pushing the wheelchair. (and since I haven't lost the weight I was intending to.)
Also, DD (the little one) needed new walking sandals. So, we went to an outlet mall and found a Croc store. Where I got her a new pair, at a reasonable cost. So she even got a few of the decorative clip things for them.

And everyone got new beach towels at the Disney outlet. Which btw, I didn't think was great. It didn't take me long to realize most of the items were the same price as the sale online. The beach towels were a couple dollars cheaper. And I guess you don't have to pay shipping. But, I would not make the drive just for the Disney store.

Now about regular life that does, or should I say might affect our trip. DD#1 had a job interview today. This was her 3rd interview for this position. So, today she told the interviewer about our trip. He asked when would she not be able to work. She told him. He said, oh, that's too bad, that wouldn't be possible. We would need you here. She said she felt her face drop. Then he started laughing, and said that wouldn't be a problem. They would have coverage for her. Poor baby girl though. She must have almost cried. But, I LIKE this guys sense of humor.
And DS#2 (the one that already graduated) has an interview Monday. I told him to wait until atleast his 2nd interview to mention the vacation to them. He is just happy to finally get an interview.
Meanwhile DS#1 (still in college) is working his internship, his part time job with his Dad & going to school. We don't see much of him.

And of course the youngest is just being a kid. what a life.

I've heard good things about the Tevo sandals so I agree it was a wise move to buy them for DH and as we have talked about before expense is not an option when it comes to taking care of your feet ...cheap gives you nothing but problems

For anyone that is in NC my nephew just won first round of World Series of Comedy at "Good nights" . I have no idea what kind of comedy arena this is but nephew has been working the comedy circuit for several years. I am so happy he is getting some recognition. And just to make sure it is Disney related.... He is one of my brothers children that are going on the family Disney Christmas trip. Who knows maybe he will try out one of the comedy clubs in Florida!

I am pretty sure it's later in the day than ours - but sooo many are arriving on the same day - I am having a hard time keeping track.

I love home popped popcorn. oh, you are waiting for the reveal?

Well, I canceled.... Sanaa . Out of the ADR's we have left, that is the one I was most leary about. We will do it another trip.
I am going to have to cancel another...maybe more. We have known we needed a new roof on the house. We just got an estimate. And although, I it is less than we anticipated (our house is 150yrs old, most contractors don't even like to work on these old houses, because you never really know what you are going to run into.), it is still ALOT of money. We may end up renting our DVC points next year. We have never done that before, but we probably won't be able to go again next year after the high cost of this one. So, it would be either bank them & use 2 years worth, or rent them & put the money back from the fund we are taking it from to do the roof.

In other news. DS#1 (the graduate) asked if I would go shopping with him. I had a bathing suit I had to return, so we stopped there also. While on this shopping trip.... Well, remember the luggage I saved & priced and saved and finally purchased? Well, this store we went to had 1 of the pieces sooooo cheap. As in a 30" for $65. urgh. Oh, well. I am happy with mine and that is what counts. They had alot of luggage and a couple of Disney lugage pieces. One really cute one that would be great for DD#2(the little one). But, roof roof roof. I did however get Disney themed lollipops for the goodie bags. 50cents less per pop than I saw else where.

Next stop... Target. DH worked 63 hours Plus the holiday over the week of the fourth. He was so tired & disgusted I told him whatever money he earned on the 4th itself he could use for whatever he wanted. So, he asked if I would stop and get him Disney gift cards with it. He SAYS he will use it to buy HIMSELF something when we are there. But, knowing him a small portion will go to that, the rest to a fun thing for the family. Honestly, I hope he doesn't, but I know him. What makes him happiest is to see his loved ones happy.

So, DS is taking me to Target to get DH his Disney gift cards.

DS told him he would like to give his current job 2 weeks notice, but it is part time so he could continue to work nights if the new job needed him sooner. Then DS told him he would need 1 wk off in August. The interviewer told him that would use most of his vacation time. DS told him he understands that. So, he is not sure. He will hear by Friday. I told him it is either meant to be or not. That is it.
So, in Disney vacation news. I canceled a total of 2 ADR's now. Sanaa & Teppan Ecdo. Next on the chopping block is Morrocco. We will see if that makes the cut or not.

I purchased the Photopass + last night I debated back and forth. We have never done it before, and I regretted not doing it for our VR trip last Nov. So, I decided I don't want to regret it again.

And very exciting news. We came across a video camera that projects at a VERY good price at a local outlet store. We had little intention of getting one. Our old video recorder was about 11 years old & very cumbersome. DH has been wanting a new one for a few years now. So, this deal was too good to refuse. So, we grabbed it. Then we even got a AAA discount & it was marked wrong so we got it for about 1/2 of what it was supposed to be. Which we already thought was a good deal!!! We are very excited. I only wish my Mom, Dad & Gram were around so when we get home from vacation I could just project our vacation on a wall. They all used to hate to wait while I got the VCR all set. I also bought DD a little something the other day, but I don't want to just tell you. I am going to show you in pictures after I feel a bit better. (otherwise they are apt to abe blurry & crooked. )
WEll it just took me way to long to type this, since I had to go back & fix a ton of misspelled words, I think I need to go to bed. Goodnight all. Prayers for peace & health (mental, physical & dare I say spiritual (whatever your spiritual is).

Whew, I just got all caught up. You've been busy! I love all your DIY projects. They are super cute and great ideas. Did you print pictures and then laminate everything? I would love to do something like that when we go in April with our granddaughter.

I hope the job interviews become jobs for your DS and DD. And what a hoot that the interviewer messed with your DD's head! Sounds like a good place to work. As far as your son not being excited about CS, I've heard nothing but good things about it. I've never stayed there before, but really, how much will he be at his resort? He sounds like a very interesting young man. Is he thinking of working for Disney one day?

There is a really easy way to get your pictures from your phone to your computer. If you have a photobucket account, all you have to do is download the free snapbucket app for your phone. It automatically sends the images to your photobucket account when you save a photo to your snapbucket app. Did I just confuse you?? It really is easy. I can do it, so it must be easy.

I am sneaking inn an off topic to brag a little. My nephew has been working the comedy scene for about 5 years. Trying to catch a break. He was in NC recently and although he didn't win the comedy world series, he did very well and a booking agent approached him. Tonight he was doing a show and asked if we could show up. I sent out a facebook message to which.....we literally packed the place. There were people standing up! I am so blessed to have friends that support not only me & my husband & children, but my entire family. I love my friends. And obviously my family. Cousins showed up, 2nd cousins, friends, friends adult children! It was an amazing show & I am just feeling overwhelmingly blessed. BTW, this nephew is going to be in WDW in Dec. I told him he should go to a comedy audience stand up show while he is there. He is one funny young man. THANKS for listening to my happiness!

Thanks he's a great young man. It would be nice to see him make it big. He has no problem getting booked locally at the small venues, clubs and things like that. But he is hoping to make it make it. What I like is for the most part he isn't vulgar. there are a few times, but all in all, atleast when I have seen him he is relatively clean. Not under 18 yrs of age clean, but relatively clean.

Tell me about it! This started out as a low budget get away. the trip WAS the gift/surprise. Now.... yikes! new luggage, clothes, changing air travel costs, upgrading rooms.!!! But, it will all be worth it. I keep reminding myself, we are celebrating 2 college graduations, and 1 that will be happening a few months after the vacation, and the 10 year olds birthday. But most of all the blessings we have, the loved ones we've lost and the relationships we had and have. Of course every time I remind myself of that I spend money on the ones that are left here still. (don't worry I live within a budget...kinda)

I've seen you photography talents DIY easy peesy! I was having other people design mine for me. There are still somethings I do ask them to help or do for me. But, I truly enjoy creating them myself. Not as good as the "professionals" on the deSign boards here, but I enjoy it.
