The 2000 film, starring Lindsay Lohan and Tyra Banks, is officially getting a sequel.

Remember that brilliant Disney film where Lindsay Lohan tries to bring her mom back to life but instead turns her doll, Eve, into a human?

Banks told Digital Spy that the film will be “very different.”

“I can’t [tell you anything] unfortunately,” she said. “I’m under contract with Disney and I can’t talk about it at all, except that it’s coming. But it will be very different, very different. Very modern - a modern take.”

She also added that the film won’t be released until “late 2014 or 2015”.

And she has not yet confirmed if Lindsay Lohan will be joining her in the sequel.

Banks claims that she can’t reveal much information about the film, as she’s still under contract with Disney.

I don't know how my buddy Bob could have given this a green light? After the studios finally started making money again they are returning to garbage like this?

The 3 people on the planet who liked this movie must be thrilled.

Isn't this the perfect movie TO remake for the exact reasons people are saying don't remake it? It was terrible and she says it is going to be completely different.

If there is a germ of an idea here, maybe they could do it completely differently and make it into a good movie.

Lawrence of Arabia and Ben-Hur, now those are movies that shouldn't be remade. :)
