I'm intrigued ;) Atkins people.

Please tell me what you eat in a typical day. Inquiring minds want to know. You can have 20 carbs a day? Can you have red wine? Nuts?
 
Yes to both of those Barb -- just not during induction which runs the first two weeks at minimum. Check out my Journal to see what I've been eating. BUT, please understand that after you begin induction you lose your hunger feeling for the most part and that is why the amount of food listed is pretty low for a day. [at least I think it is]. If you want lots more info check out the links that I have on the very first post of my journal. You will even find the rules of induction on the Newbie website link.

Breakfast:
2 coffees: 2 tabs cream 2.0 grams carbs
(1/4of pie)Cheesecake 1.8 grams carbs

Lunch
1/2 Mountain Bread(wrap) .25 grams carbs
3 slices roast beef 0.0 grams
mayo (about 1 tab) 0.0 grams
2 peanutbutter cookies @1.5g's ea. 3.0 grams carbs

dinner
broiled chicken breast 0.0 grams carbs
2 C broccoli saute'd in a little bacon grease 8.0 grams carbs
1/2 Mt Bread w/butter,garlic powder .25 grams carbs
total carbs: =15.25 grams

lots of water all day!

Dessert: usually I don't have any but if I do its either cheesecake or cookies which I buy at a bakery that makes only
low carb,sugarfree,no salt,no cholesterol and low fat items.

Last night for dinner we had a gourmet meal!

Spinach "pinwheels" - Round steak pounded out to 1/2 inch thick, covered with cooked - but not crisp - bacon, chopped spinach layered on top with fresh grated parmesan cheese sprinkled over it & rolled up, then sliced into inch-thick slices & broiled 8 min. on each side, and served with a hollandaise sauce. YUM!!!! And a spinach salad (spinach leaves, hard boiled eggs & crumbled bacon with a hot bacon vinagrette dressing).

It was sooooo good.

And raspberry swirl brownies for dessert (sugar-free & flour free).

Whole meal was less than 10 carbs per person.

Wednesday nights we usually have jalepeno poppers and hot wings to go with Angel. One of my favorite meals!

Last week we had "faux"tato pancakes (made of turnips) that were to die for!

This summer, we'll have a lot of "faux"tato salad (your standard potato salad recipe with cauliflower instead of potatos... tastes just the same) and grilled brats & hamburgers (minus the buns, of course).
 
EDiets just sent me this 2 day atkins menu in email. I don't know if it is any help, but here it is:

Day 1:

Breakfast: Fried eggs, bacon, Atkins bread and butter

Lunch: Roasted chicken, baked Brie with sun-dried tomato and salad

Snack: Open-faced roast beef sandwich with mayonnaise

Dinner: Southwestern pork chop with green beans

Day 2:

Breakfast: Steak and eggs

Lunch: Broiled Shrimp Oreganata with watercress salad

Snack: Pork sausage with bread and tomato

Dinner: Broiled lamb chops with sautéed chard and salad
