We'll be at WDW next week!!! My DD10 and I are trying to decide which water park to do. Does anyone think one is better for a 10 year old? Or do you think one will be less busy than the other?

Thanks.

tl is more laid back. bb has more thrill to it. My ds prefers tl. We went one year to bb and hated the wave pool because it is continually going. you don't really get a chance to rest in the pool. tl gives one bring wave and then stops for a little bit to catch your breath. Both lazy pools are relavitely the same. tl has a place to snorkel where bb does not.

I've been to both. The theming of BB is cool, no pun intended. TL has more with the shark area, the new water coaster and its wave area make big waves. BB, on the other hand, has a higher slide, and the wave area makes a more of a swell motion, no waves, but it does knock you around pretty good. Can't speak about the crowds. I have a feeling that BB was becoming the more popular of the two parks and that's why they added the new coaster.

I agree that both are great. Depends on what mood your looking for. Like the others said BB is more fast paced and thrilling. TL is more laid back and slow paced.

Funny DH and I decided since we fly in so early on our next trip-- we're going right from the airport to TL to relax for awhile before we head to the hotel. We both love the tropical island atmosphere there.

My family, 3 girls (12, 9, 7), love BB. Even grandma had a great time on the long slide :) It has a lot of great slides, great theme too....for us "southerners" that never see snow, it gives us the snow look without the cold :)

Thanks ya'll. I was kinda leaning toward TL, but wanted to get another opinion.

My DD 10 will tell you that she loves TL the best. She could spend a day in the wave pool, but she also enjoys the shark reef. And after numerous trips we actually did some of the slides on our last visit and while they weren't as thrilling as the ones at BB, we had a good time. We've also been to Schlitterbahn here in TX and ridden the Master Blaster which is similar to the new slides at TL, and it is fantastic. We always go to BB, but we usually hit TL at least twice!

::MickeyMo We've done both but decided on Typhoon Lagoon this year because of Crush 'n Gusher - which, btw, was amazing. We like the coconut slide the best. We love the wave pool as well but ultimately like BB better. We found the layout for TL to be very confusing. BB we found was easier to navigate. Plus, we like the thrill slides and BB is definitely the place for that. ::MinnieMo

We like TL better. My DD10 loves the wave pool - that is where she spends most of the day when we visit TL. The shark reef is also pretty neat. The slides may get higher scores at BB, but those at TL are good enough to keep a 10 year old happy.
