Typhoon Lagoon or BB open Christmas week 2015???

I have looked in 10 different places, and have found 10 different answers about when the water parks will be closed for rehab. Disney web-site says TL is open in December, but the sheet they send to travel agents says it is closed. (The website has TL closing in Oct.--reopening--then closing again in Jan.)

The travel agent calendar says Typhoon Lagoon is closed. I would trust that over the Disney website.

Is there a specific time of year / particular month that TL is closed for refurbishing?
It would really suck if it was closed while we are there Oct. 2016.

This year Typhoon Lagoon starts its yearly refurb on October 4th. It'll reopen January 4th, when it will be Blizzard Beach's turn.

I think they may alternate which one goes first each year.

I'm curious as well for our November trip. Mid-summer, many sites reported that the routine waterpark closure schedule (where TL goes first and is closed in fall) would be switched and BB would go first. That comports with WDW website parks hours listings (which I agree can be wrong).

Are folks thinking that the travel agent schedule has newer info, and that BB will instead stay open in fall?

Good to know, Alesia, thanks! I hope that they alternate years 'cause I really don't care for Blizzard Beach (plus that ski lift freaks me out) I like the tropical feel of TL. We ended up there four times out of our ten day stay last year.

I thought years ago, they alternated which closed first. I know TL has been closed the last several Christmases.
