Tyler, Help!!! or anyone that knows about the bus routes...

We are doing the MK Keys to the Kingdom tour at 830am and are told it last 4 1/2 to 5 hrs. I had already booked Trail Rides at the Fort Wilderness for 230PM. Can I take a bus from the Magic Kingdom around 1PM and make it to the campground in 30 mins or so? Just wondered if the bus makes any other stops on its way to Fort Wilderness as I may need to cancel our horseback adventure!

I would recommend taking a boat from MK to FW...it's a quick 15 minute trip.

I'm not Tyler but I think your best bet would be to take the boat from MK to FW. Even if your tour lasts 5 hours that gives you an hour to get to FW. It should be no problem.

You could also take the monorail or ferryboat to the TTC and then catch the WL/FW bus. But the first option should be faster.

I just wondered if it is a long hike thru the campground to the front entrance where the horses are? After walking 5 hrs during the tour, I am sure my hubby will not be happy if we have to walk another mile to get there!

There are internal Fort Wilderness buses to take you from near the boat dock to the front of the campground. It's only a relatively short walk from boat to bus.

Your options are either the direct boat from the MK to Fort Wilderness, or else monorail or ferryboat to the TTC then a Fort Wilderness bus. The former might well get you into the campground a bit faster, while the latter will take you directly where you want to go.

ended in a parking lot for questions and answers. No one had any questions but she did not let us go so we stood in the parking lot in the sun. Just tell the tour guide of your need to make that reservation and you can be set free in time to do that.
