Tying reservations

I have two separate reservations. The one is from 9/16-9/21 at the contemporary. We have 6 day tickets and free dining.

We then decided we needed to add a night at AOA in a LM room on opening night 9/15-9/16 :cheer2: this is room only.

Is there a way to combined them and get the tickets when we check in at AOA? Then we could go to the parks on 9/15. If we cannot do that, could they be there so we would not have to get them on 9/16 at the contemporary before we went to the parks? Or should we just leave everything separate?

I know the dining would not start until we checked into the contemporary since it is attached to the room. Right?

Thanks :)

You can pick up your package tickets up to 3 days early. Cheshire Figment's Ticket Sticky should have the information about doing it.
I'm pretty sure you have to do it at the parks.

Thanks for the guidace on where to go:goodvibes

Here is the info I read form the sticky.

I. Picking up Package Tickets Prior To Start Of Package

In cases where Walt Disney World Resort Guests would like to begin using their Package Tickets prior to the day of check-in (up to three days in advance), the Guests will be directed to visit any Theme Park or DTD Guest Relations location and request Early Ticket Pick-Up. (Note this cannot be done at a water park.)

It is only valid for people with packages at a Walt Disney World owned and operated Resort. You can be staying off-property at the time you pick up the tickets. Note that if you have a package which includes Dining, although you can pick up your tickets early you cannot get access to the Dining until you have actually checked in to your Resort.

Note that since August 2011 the Call Centers have been telling Guests this cannot be done. However it is still a valid procedure and can be done with no problem at Park Guest Relations Windows.

There is a possibility that if your package and the stay prior to the package are at the same Resort that you will be able to get the tickets at the Resort and not have to go to a Park Guest Relations Office.

And the tickets issued will be valid for the entire stay; they will not receive valid tickets when they actually check-in to their resort. There is a strong possibility that the tickets you have received prior to check-in cannot be added to your KTTW on or after check-in.

I would suggest you copy down the following information if you are planning to upgrade promotional tickets. If the person in the window is hesitant to upgrade these promotional tickets, ask them go go into The Hub >> WDW >> Work >> Ticketing >> Processes & Business Rules >> Early Ticket Pickup For Resort Packages where they will see the procedure.

So my tickets would be seperate from my kttw card meaning I would have a lot more stuff. Would each ticket be seperate or are they grouped together as in I would have one card with all of my 6 days on it x 4 for all members or would I have 24 seperate tickets (4 people x 6 tickets each).

Is there a way just to pick up one day early or do I have to get all tickets.?

Thanks sorry this is new to me. I usually just pick one place and stay there.

You would get the 6 day tickets as you can't get just one ticket day early and get the rest when you check in for your package. We did early ticket pick up in December 2010 when we had the first 2 nights room only before checking in for a package at a different resort on day 3. I was told we could not have our tickets added to our new (package) KTTW cards, but once we checked in for our package, our early tickets were deactivated and our new KTTW cards had the tickets on that. We didn't find this out until we went to a park later that night and were denied access due to our tickets being "upgraded". After a quick trip to guest services, we found out the above happened, so we only had 1 card to carry for everything rather than having one for the room/DDP and one for the parks.

or would I have 24 seperate tickets (4 people x 6 tickets each). No.

Is there a way just to pick up one day early or do I have to get all tickets.? You will have to pick up everyone's tickets at GR at a park or DTD up to 3 days early per the sticky you quoted.

On 9/16 you'll have to go over to the CR to check in. At that time you'll get your KTTW cards which will be your CR room key, charging to the room card and will have your Dining plan credits loaded onto them. You won't be able to use your Dining credits until you get this set of KTTW cards. At this time you can ask to have your park ticket (which is on the AoA KTTW card) transferred to your new CR KTTW card or you could keep them separate and continue to use the AoA card for park entry.
