Two-year-old Toy Story Mania proves a boon for Disney theme parks

Hmmm,
HS is the fastest growing park eh? Probably because it has such small attendance compared to the other parks that adding the new TSM gave such a noticeable spike.
Twice nothing is still nothing...
It really doesn't matter I guess as it is just pulling people in from other Disney parks.
The article says that they built it on the same side as ToT and RnRC? I can't imagine they would do that as the park was horribly unbalance with the two previous popular rides!

Well put Disco, Twice Nothing is Nothing. TSMM is pulling in hoards of crowds but they are comparing DHS to parks they have had flat to negative attendance increases.

I do like the attraction and their comments about the range of people who can enjoy it is a great point.

But I don't think the ride closes down to load handicap guests. Makes me wonder if the writer went on it one time and that was enough to write the story.

I thought that was an odd comment too. The handicap/wheelchair loading area is off to the side. This allows the guest to take the time they need to load without pausing the ride. The ride is continually going when my bf is rolling into the wheelchair accessible ride vehicle.

I was surprised to see them say that this is the first ride designed to be easily updateable/upgradeable.

I always thought TZTOT had that honor. After all, it has probably been re-imagined more times than any other attraction in the same timespan, and usually with no or minimal downtime to guests. Plus, each upgrade was substantial, not just a re-dressing or enhancement of one effect.

I wasn't aware that the ToT was ever reimagined? I know that they reprogrammed it to bounce you around differently on the elevator drop?

That's what I'm talking about. Plus, on TOT 4 they added a bunch of new effects, and on each change, of course, they modified the sound track and came up with a new marketing tag line. IMHO, TOT 4 was at least as big a change as changing one of the games on TSM!
