Two Tinks and Two Mary’s do Disney Oct /Nov 2006 day 7

Erin (14) her daughter also been once and hated it

This was the day that we were really looking forward too a girly shopping spree!!! We caught the Comfort Inn bus up to Universal Studios and then got the Lynx Bus to Florida mall. We decided to split up and meet up at lunch time so Claire and I headed off to Sephora….cosmetic heaven. A Couple of hundred dollars later and bags full of my favourite Benefit make up which would have cost me at least double here we were off to another girly favourite ..Victorias Secret where we spent another small fortune. We met up with Leigh and Erin for lunch and split up again only this time it was Leigh and I and Claire and Erin.
There is a great shop right next to the food court which sells lovely costume jewellery , if you love costume jewellery and haven’t been then give it a try. I got some necklaces and Leigh got some beautiful earrings. We didn’t forget the grumpies by the way…as several purchases were made for them !!! And Leigh’s son Ross too…..who had put in his orders before we left!
We met up with the girls and headed out to get a taxi back to the hotel. We got into the taxi and I tried to tell the lady where we were going but she could not understand us so she shouted over another driver and spoke to him in a foreign language ..he then asked us where were going he then tried to tell her where we were going but she still did not seem to understand him!! At this point I said “look why don’t we just get in another taxi and a driver who knows where to take us” he said something to her and she then locked us in!!!!!!honestly I was terrified…..she then muttered something to him and started to drive off. I have been several times to Florida mall and always have got a taxi back and in May we got one back to the comfort inn at Lake Buena Vista and it cost $24 ,as I can remember John giving the driver $30.I knew she was fleecing us off right away as she took the wrong turn out of Florida mall and drove round in a circle but we were too frightened to say anything…however she did eventually take us to our hotel by which time the fare was up to $44 and she didn’t open the doors until I had paid so $45 later we all jumped out and practically ran into the hotel just relieved to be back in one piece!!
Quick shower and change and we went over to Chilli’s where a couple of margaritas were downed swiftly!!! To calm our nerves lol
Cant remember what we ate that night sorry!!! But it was lovely whatever it was!!

We were so worried about checking our bags in but they were not weighed at all must have been because the plane was only a third full .We were raging as we could have brought back much more lol

A great shopping day, I love Sephora and Victoria's Secret. That taxi driver sounds well scary, I would have been really frightened. Margaritas sound like a great way of calming down though!
