Two Short Term Goals

1. to get my 5 pound clippie (1.5 pounds to go!)

2. to be able to wear my college class ring (might meet this goal when I get my 10 or 15 pound clippie)

One day at a time.

What are your short term goals? To fit into those new capri's? To get all the way up the stairs without gasping? To drink 100 oz. of water in a day? To move a notch on the belt?
 
My short term goal is to get thru 3 days at Disneyland this weekend without causing any damage! Just started Atkins this past week...and it looks like I'll have 5lbs off by departure time. I do plan on having a carb day Saturday (doing the Fantasmic! dessert on the balcony dealie). But I'm restricting all treats to that one day and the other two will be low carb (tho honestly probably not at induction level!). I haven't started my exercise program yet and all that walking this weekend should help kick me into gear.
I had considered not starting Atkins till after this weekend, but,you know, you can always find a reason to put it off. This is a life change and my life is RIGHT NOW...not next week!
Love to hear more short term goals from others.....
 
Short term goals....good thread.

I haven't set any short term goals for myself...just long ones. So let's give it a try right now.

My rings are getting a little loose on my finger. I have my high school class ring on a necklace that I wear right now because it won't fit any of my fingers. So there's one short term goal, getting my class ring on the middle finger of my right hand! :p :o

Second short term goal, to be 210 by the end of this month. I believe it's possible if I keep working out the way I do and drinking water as often as I have been. I'm 217 now.....so I think reaching 210 should be a peice of cake! :bounce: :Pinkbounc
 
This is a tough question...I've been focusing so much on long term that I haven't thought much about short term. :)

I want to increase my walking mileage. Although I walk 5 days a week, I don't push myself and I really should.
 

1st. Get my first 5lb clippie!!

2nd. Start exercising. Have a cross trainer thing in my room. It's great cause i can watch tv while i'm on it and i don't even think about the fact i'm exercising. Unfortunately it gets covered in clothes and i forget it's there sometiimes. So i'm going to dig it out tonight and try for an hour.
