Two restaurant certificates - didn't read fine print

I just purchased (for the first time) two $25 dining gift certificates off a well known website for House of Blues in Downtown Disney. I thought we could go there on two seperate nights. I just read the terms and conditions (yeah, I KNOW I was supposed to read them BEFORE purchasing) and they state 1 certificate per party per month. So, is using them on two different nights a "no-go"? Do I have any options?

You can only use one per month as stated,but they have no expiration date. Save the other one for your next vacation. Luckily they don't cost alot so it wasn't a costly mistake.

1) That's right.
2) They do record numbers, so during the same month won't work.
3) The object is to get you to come back as a regular.
4) Not subsidize a vacation.

Are these restaurant.com certs?
Double check, but they are only good for one year unless your state law is different.

I have used them more than once per month at local places and never had an issue.
I think it is up to the restaurant if they want to enforce it - YMMV.
They have no way of knowing if you or someone you gifted it to used it.

There is a local Mexican Restaurant I go to 2-3 times a month with certs.
They all know me and know I have the certs and they have never questioned it.
Of course we usually spend $70, if you’re spending exactly $35 every time they may decide to enforce it.

Anyway do you really want to eat there more than once during your trip?
There are certs for the places in the Swan & Dolphin hotels if your looking for other deals.

These are restaurant.com gift certificates, but it says "This Restaurant Gift Certificate does not expire" on the bottom

We typically take long vacations and enjoy eating dinner away from the parks (occassionally). Our kids enjoy Disney Quest and we enjoy DTD and House of Blues. We're typically over there and eat there more than once per trip.

We're planning on going back to WDW for atleast one more trip within a year (to really get the most out of our annual passes) so saving it is an option.

I wondered if an option would be to give one to another family. PP was right - they didn't cost much and were a great deal!!! But, if they reject the number because we used the other one within a month, that would be "embarrassing" to say the least.

Oh, we're a family of 5, so we routinely spend around $90 for a meal at House of Blues. Even if we "eat light", we're well over the $35 requirement.

I would email them and ask if you gift it to someone can they use it in the same month as you.
They are very quick to respond to emails, they have surprisingly good customer service.

As for the expiration - you are correct. This seems to be a very recent change.
Thanks you for pointing that out, it looks like I can now use some of my certs that had expired unused.

A way around the one per month rule......have your husband purchase the second one using a different credit card.

They are now non-expiring. Last week I reprinted one I allowed to expire in April and had no issues. So, save one for your next vacation. If they stop participating, R.Com will allow you to trade it in for somewhere else.

I don't see anything wrong with using rest.com certificates while on vacation, if they didn't want people to use them , they wouldn't sell them at a vacation destination.

I don't think anyone here said you can't use them on vacation.
