two reservations at same resort for same day ?

DH and I have a post on the Rent/Trade board requesting to rent points for two nights in late October at BWV. We aren't quite at the 7-month booking window yet, so only members with BWV points can help us at this point. I know this is a busy time for both Epcot resorts with the F & W Festival and there's a chance that there won't be a room available. SO... I decided to call Disney direct to book the two nights we want as a cash reservation for a back up plan. We can always cancel it and get a full refund if we end up finding someone to rent points.

My question is though, the cash reservation is in my name. If someone comes along and rents us points for the same two nights (which I would then immediately cancel my cash reservation), will it cause a problem when the DVC member goes to make another reservation in my name? Should I have them make the reservation in my DH's name instead so it doesn't look like two reservations for the same person? Or would that not matter since one is a cash reservation and one would be a point reservation? TIA

IMO, no; especially if you have book thru WDTC directly.

i've had 2 ressies running @ the same time while i attempt to switch to a different resort @ 7 month mark

good luck getting BWV end of Oct...there was no availability when i checked on a studio for our dates last week

NO problem with that. The two reservation systems are not connected.
