Two Quick DDE Questions

Two quick Disney Dining Experience card questions:

1. Do you need to have your annual pass purchased before you purchase the card? We're heading down at the very end of October and haven't purchased our passes yet, but after reading that the DDE card doesn't always arrive promptly, we would like to purchase it ASAP.

2. Allearsnet says that you can purchase the DDE Card by visiting Guest Relations at any park or at Downtown Disney. I just want to verify that this is true. If it is, it probably negates my question number 1 as we'll just stop by Guest Relations at Downtown Disney and purchase both the DDE.

Yes, you need to have the AP before you can get the DDE card.

Yes, you can buy the DDE at Guest Relations. I would just buy your annual pass and your DDE at the same time. It will only take a couple of minutes.

Just a comment - we had AP vouchers and were staying at the GF. We went to the TTC to activate our AP's and then found out we had to go into MK to get the DDE. I'm not sure if we could have activated the AP's anywhere else at MK or not, but if we'd been wanting to do a park that day we would have wasted a lot of time going back and forth. I know the window at EPCOT to buy the DDE is much closer to the ticket windows. Maybe someone else will have more info.

I purchased my DVC discounted AP and my DDE card in one stop at guest services. Wasn't my fastest trip through a ticket booth ever, but they had no problem selling me both. (This was a guest services booth in DTD).

We purchased our at the Guest Services window in the West Side at DTD. We were walking around to DTD from SSR and I thought I would stop and see if I could purchase it there or if I had to go to the Marketplace. We used it right away at Ragland Road .

Can we buy our discounted DVC ap's and the DDE at the international gateway *(IG) entrance of epcot?

We plan to arrive in the mid afternoon to check in at the BC, and I thought I would wander over with the kids to make those purchases. Is it possible?

Yes, you can. One booth is tickets only but the other is Guest Services where you can purchase both APs and DDE. Be sure to have your DVC card and ids for adults.
