1)Where is the company housing? I know it's limited, but I've heard two different places. One is by Universal (Northbridge Apts) and the other one is by the CP apartments (Cumberland). Can anyone confirm where they are currently?

2)What type of Main Entrance Pass do PIs get? Is it a silver, a blue 16x entrance, or the blue 6x entrance?

I'm only a PI hopeful, but I know the company housing right now is Cumberland, which is right across the street from the CP housing Chatham and Patterson.

As far as maingates go, since PIs are only interns, I believe it's still only 6. Don't quote me, though.

Awesome, Cumberland looks really nice. (I live in Patterson right now.) I will have to look into the maingates more-thanks!

Let me know if you find out anything on the maingate passes for PIs. I was wondering the same thing.

Found some more info on the Hub. It says that if you are statused as a PI, you still only get a 6x Seasonal Main Entrance Pass. However, I think as a PI you may be eligible for the comp tickets 1x per year, as it only says that CPs are not eligible.

anyone know about the rooming situation? how do we pick roommates or anything? anyone hear about what the housing area is like? noisy, quiet, etc?

yeah, PIs live at cumberland park. unlike CP housing we dont have price management. there are regular residents that live in cumberland and then some apartments reserved for interns, so disney isn't actually at cumberland like they are with CP housing they just sponsor the housing. PIs have their own housing management group that is responsble for all interns living at Cumberland (there are also seaworld interns living here and i think universal?) while you still have rules they are nothing like living in CP housing.

it's pretty quiet, but we have gotten to meet a lot of the PIs who live here. as far as roommates go they sent a survey out before we got down here. you could request one person to live with. when we got here they already had assigned who was living in which aprt. which was really fine since they are all the same complex and same size (2 bedrooms).

the check in process was not a smooth as the CP one in my opinion. they had you sign up for a time to get here on move in day. and then took people by time, but they got kinda backed up. there was a lot of waiting around and then you had the housing meeting before you did anything else. since housing and casting were handled by different groups some people were late for their casting appointment, since the meeting took so long. so even though there is really no advantage to getting an early time, i would make sure you pick one that is well before you casting appointment.

How much is rent? Do they take it out of your check like they do with CPs? And do you find there is enough room for two people in one bedroom? I think that was a complaint with the old housing.

I was quoted a price of $135/week which comes out to $540/month
thanks for the heads up, I'm a relatively quiet person so I hope there are no crazy parties going on all the time or else i may be sleeping in my car, haha
since you're already there what are the amenities like and general area?

if you've done the college program I think the bedrooms in cumberland are a little bit smaller than the ones in CP housing. they are smaller than patterson and definatally smaller than my room in chatham. I dont think they were really made for sharing. we only have one nightstand and I dont really think two fit, but it doesn't feel too small. the closet is still a good size though.

I think the living area is a good size, we don't have a balcony, so it's a little bit bigger. the only thing i wsh we had was a common storage closet or coat closet, since we don't really have a good place to put our luggage. oh, and the kitchen cabinets are very tall.

it's in the same general area as the CP aprtments so grocery store, wallgreens, outlet mall are close by. there are two pools and hot tubs, which are both really nice and never too crowded. there is the standard apartment gym, indoor basketball court, movie theater. another thing thats different about CP housing is since more regular people live here and more PIs have normal schedules, you see more people around (at the pool, gym) on the weekends and nights.
