I just booked a bunch of my ADRs for my trip in July, but I'm hung up on a couple of things....I've been looking at the menus for the TS restaurants at DTD and nothing is floating my boat. My girlfriend is also exceedingly picky and doesn't like seafood or pretty much anything except Italian. LOL I noticed Portobello Yacht Club at least serves flatbread pizzas, but they aren't on the dining plan and are a little more than I was hoping to spend. I had decided on Planet Hollywood, but they don't accept ADRs for after 6 PM (we're eating at Whispering Canyon the same day at noon and dinner that close just doesn't seem feasible)...

Sooo...my DTD question is....what is your favorite TS restaurant...and for those of you who have experience it - is Portobello worth the price?

ALSO....what are your favorite CS restaurants all over the world? I have most of my TS places picked, but any standouts for counter service? Or are they all pretty much the same?

Thanks in advance!

I am going to try Wolfgang Puck's Cafe on the West Side. My sister ate there last year based on a CM's recommendation and she said it was very good. I can't remember what she ordered, I'll have to ask her. I can see several things on the menu I'd like to try...I wonder if the sushi is good???

A couple of my favorite counter service, not typical park food: Earl of Sandwich (DTD) Tangierine Cafe (Morroco World Showcase) Sunshine Seasons (Land Pavillion) Tusker House (AK)

CS at DTD Westside is House Of Blue's.Some of my favorite CS are Cosmic Ray's at MK,Flame Tree BBQ at AK,haven't tried many CS at Epcot. :goodvibes :wizard:

We went to Portobello Yacht Club on our honeymoon 5 years ago and again when we were at DW in March. We really like their food and atmosphere and the service is always impeccable.

The food is very expensive IMO. We go more for the memories and romance of it.

When we were there this last time, I ordered an appetizer and then took 1/2 my meal home. You get your monies worth, but it is costly.

Thanks to everyone who's replied so far...I'm torn between Tusker House & Flame Tree at AK! LOL

DTD = Has to be Wolfgang Puck's! I had the "infused" spaghetti with meat sauce, and sis had the 3 cheese Ravioli! They where are favorite dinners last August! We had never ate there before, and this year I plan to go back a couple of times. :thumbsup2 They have great desserts too, that carrot cake can feed a family of 4. ;)

Planet Hollywood > We used to eat here, but the last 2 times had terrible service. Entree's before appetizer? Entree's 5 minutes after seating down? Long waits to seat down, even with the "coupon you get the next table, etc...). We gave it 1 try after a terrible experience, and thought it was a fluke, but it was worse. I am not going back, and cannot recommend this place.

As for AK > I like: Pizzafari! They have incredible sandwiches. And we get 1 and a pizza, and share 1/2 & 1/2. The rooms are large and many places to seat. Even a porch out back, if you like eating outside. Remember if you choose Flame tree barbque, you will be definately seating outside, and in July unless you love heat, I would not personally pick it. Tusker house has interesting selections, but is very popular and crowded. Don't forget to check out the desserts sold on the side counter. ;)

Have fun! & good Luck! Mky :smickey:
