Two part question regarding DVC and fastpasses...

I've got a VGF reservation that is coming in close to the 60 day window. I have yet to buy my tickets because I'm still working on vacation time and might be able to go from a 4 day ticket to a 6 day ticket.

First, because I've got the DVC reservation, can I make fastpasses without a ticket linked to MDE?

Second, I will probably have to modify my first night in the reservation (if I'm able to stay longer, which I'll end up buying a 6 day ticket but it throws us off a little). If I drop that first night, what happens to my fastpasses? My family is still headed out there, but will just stay at a hotel that first night. It's only my DW and DS, the rest of the group will get in a day later and it's too late to drop from a two-bed to a studio, and at that point they've got to check into 1 room for just a night, then into our 2-Bed (I know, TMI!!!)

Nope. Valid park admission linked to MDE is required in order to make advance FP+ selections.

You can upgrade your tickets at the park. You just pay the difference between a 4 day and a 6 day ticket. Must upgrade before last day of use on your ticket.

But you can’t book advanced fastpasses for the extra days.

Same as any other room reservation. They lock up until the 30-day mark. But you’ll still have an on-site reservation for part of the time, so your 60-day window will stay open.

What worries me is that I can’t tell if you already have the extra nights reserved at VGF. You won’t be able to add a night close to the date. Those rooms book up well in advance.

I've got the rooms book, but will drop the first night since it's just two people and a 2 bedroom. And at this point, it's a waitlist for a studio.
