Will it be possible to see both parks in one day? Going in Sept, closing time is 6pm,if we purchase front of the line passes

Its possible if its a slow weekday and you will be able to get in the popular rides but if you could I always suggest 2 days so that you can take your time and enjoy the great themeing of both parks but 1 day is better than none :thumbsup2

You shouldn't need the Express Passes for September especially during the week. Get there early and pick a park...do what you can/want and then over to the other park. If you are feeling rushed, you can purchase the Express passes once you've arrived at that park. As Lawrence stated, it's never a good idea to do both parks in a single day but if one day is all you have, better that than nothing. ;)

Yes, you can do the highlights of both parks. Don't expect to do every ride and show though.

Thanks for the input everyone, still not sure what to do. Some of us have been here before, but it is the first time for some. I guess we will figure it out. we are on a pretty tight schedule.

try to avoid the weekends if you can.
and, arrive early at the park, aim for 8:20

If you're only going for rides, then yes. I've been doing the two-park one day for the past few months and I'm usually done by around 5:00, that's with showing up at around 11:00 am. I usually end the day with re-riding the dragons or hulk.

I also have only one day for the 2 parks. My kids (DS12, DS15) want to do Simpsons and we missed Jurassic Park 3 years ago in LA so apart from these 2 which attractions do you consider headliners? We are going last week in September (probably Thursday) and were unsure if we needed the express plus pass.

On a September weekday, it will definitely be possible to hit the highlights of both parks in one day, even without express as long as you start early.

For example a couple of Septembers ago we arrived at IOA at opening and rode:

Hulk
Spiderman
Both duelling dragons
Jurassic Park

Then hopped to Universal and rode:
Mummy
MIB
Twister
Earthquake
ET
Shrek
Terminator 3D
Jimmy Neutron

And were finished by about 3:30.

You won't be able to do everything, but that just gives you an excuse to come back again!
