Hello!

I'm very new to this DIS stuff, but I just can't contain my excitement! I've gotta share my plans with the world! My husband and I are both 30, and this will be our third Disney trip together. We don't have any kids yet, but maybe this time we'll return with "a lil souvenir." ;)

I would appreciate any and all feedback and suggestions on our plans so far.

I'll just jump right in...

Day 1

Attempt to arrive at AK for rope drop
Leave by 1:00 for afternoon tea at GF Garden View Lounge
Head to MK afterward for MVMCP :santa:
Dinner at Tony's Town Square
Close down the place

Day 2
Attempt to arrive at HS for rope drop
Stay through Fantasmic :wizard:
Head over to Jellyrolls for some evening grown-up entertainment. :woohoo:

Day 3
Epcot day
dinner reservations at Teppan Edo

Day 4

MK day
breakfast at Main Street Bakery
Dinner reservations at The Plaza

Day 5

Resort hop and hopefully see the edible Christmas decorations in progress or already completed
Lunch at Kona Cafe
Dinner at Boma
Leave WDW :sad1:

Any feedback on this basic outline so far?

It seems my plans keep growing and morphing... This morning I changed my dinner at the Plaza reservation to a lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern. After reading the reviews here, I decided that we just had to try LTT. We've also decided to throw in a round of mini golf at one of the courses. Any suggestions on which one?

I have not had the chance to try mini golf at disney yet but we are thinking of doing it in April also so I am very interested in what you decide and then think of it. I think you will not be dissappointed with LTT. We ate there in June and it was pretty nice. I would stay away from the dinner there because it is packed and while the food is ok that is just it, the food at lunch seems a better quality.
Great start to your ptr... I can not wait to see more.

I don't know why I wasn't subscribed to your PTR here...:confused3 But anyway, I'm here now! :goodvibes

Is Jellyrolls at DTD? Or is that at Boardwalk? If it's at DTD, you've heard about the DTD construction, right?

LTT looks soooo yummy. My co-worker/co-Disney Fan loves this place, he said they go every trip and never have had a bad meal. Teppan Edo looks delish!! I love Japanese Steakhouses, they are so much fun.

Wow...
I haven't been keeping up with my PTR very well. I'm inspired to write today because we got our printed itinerary in the mail today. It's so nicely packaged in its own little plastic envelope. So very exciting, and so very Disney. :yay:

Disney crazed!

Some things have changed in our plans. We're now planning our resort hopping day for Wednesday and have lunch reservations at Kona Cafe and dinner at Boma. We're making Friday our Epcot day and will have lunch at Teppan Edo and dinner at Rose & Crown. I wonder how long we'll stick to this plan before I decide to change it???

Brook... Thanks for subscribing. I must say that I've stolen many an idea from reading your PTR! I wouldn't have known about the Garden View Lounge or the breakfasts at Main Street Bakery if it weren't for you! I've got my LGMH ready, and I so hope we cross paths!

Jellyrolls is on the Boardwalk, across from the Atlantic Dance Hall.

This is our game plan for Tuesday - DHS at rope drop and JRs that night.

An FYI on Tuesday night: Jellyrolls has been pretty crowded since the closing of PI and Tuesday nights are CM night, which will make it even more crowded. I believe Fantasmic is at 7pm that night, so I would plan to be at JRs between 8 & 9pm if you want a good seat. We plan to be there around 8ish - PM me if you want to meet up!

Travelin' Tigger - Thanks for answering Brook's question. I sort of forgot! Thanks also for the heads up about JR's. We have a dueling piano bar in our town that my DH and I like to hang out at, so we wouldn't miss JR's! Do you have any suggestions on the best way to get to the Boardwalk from HS? We were thinking we'd take the Friendship boat, but is there a better way?

The Friendship boat works - you can get off at the Swan/Dolphin and walk across the bridge or you can walk the walkway along to canal behind the BWVs to JRs.

See ya there!!! :goodvibes

YAY! I changed our original plans to make sure that we're there for CM night on Tuesday. I'm really looking forward to it!

YEA! DISNEY MAIL! It's so much fun!!

Glad I could provide some ideas on my PTR, hours of digging through the mass of the DIS pays off in more than one way! :rotfl2: :thumbsup2 I am sooooo excited about the Garden View Room tea, have you seen pictures from it? Joe is actually pretty excited about it as well! Main Street Bakery breakfasts look INCREDIBLE-the French Toast Loaf *insert drooling smiley*....I am so excited to eat it!

Your LGMH looks great! I still have to make mine....maybe a project for today if I have time between cleaning and the DIS.

I didn't realize JR was a Dueling Pianos joint. That would be a total blast! I'll have to mark it down for a "future trip" when Henry is older and can take advantage of the kids clubs.

Okay, this has nothing at all to do with disney, but there are other things to talk about, right? Thursday night I had a blast in my hometown at the New Kids on the Block concert. :lovestruc I met up with a group of old friends that I saw the New Kids with back in the early '90's. I can't believe how the old 12 year old feelings came right back. I knew every word (well, to the old stuff at least) and screamed and danced my fool head off. It was so, so, soooo much fun. All of the guys have aged so well and sound great. It was an awesome trip down memory lane.

I bought their new album, and while a few songs made me blush, it is an overall enjoyable CD.

Even better than I remembered!

I'll be there at the same time. So, is Tuesday nite a less crowded nite at Jellyrolls?

Actually, I've heard it's more crowded on Tuesdays because it's cast member night. I've read posts where people have said that the CMs dance and act out things from different shows. Seems like a good time to me!

Tuesday nights are traditionally CM nights and it draws a big crowd. But the 11th will be crowded as I found out on 12 song warning's myspace page that it's Christian's last night at Jellyrolls (and Jason's last night is Nov. 4th). I know I will be there as early as possible to get a good table!!!

Hey Melissa - feel free to give me a call Monday morning if you make it to AK for EMH and want to meet up!!!

Do you mean the myspace site? If so, I can't access myspace from work but it should by myspace.com/12songwarning and the schedules are under pics.

And let me know if you are interested in meeting up Nov. 10th

Yes, that's what I meant. I didn't know that site existed. Thanks! The 10th is going to be a crazy day because we're driving in from Tampa (we're keeping our fingers crossed that we'll be able to make it to rope drop... which means we'll be up at the crack of dawn) and we have a tea reservation at the GF at 2:00. Then we're headed to MK for MVMCP. It's going to be a BUSY day, so I don't know if we'll be able to meet up. I'll keep your number handy and will definitely see you at JR's! :woohoo:
