Hola! A bit confused; are there a "back" and a "front" main entrance (s) to Dineyland and California Adventure?

I see in the aerial that the LARGE Parking Lots are at the "back" of Parks????

If so, how does one get to entrance (s)?

Gracias!

There is only one entrance to Disneyland, right off the main plaza between the parks. California Adventure has a main entrance across from DL's and another one at the Grand Californian hotel. You can also take the monorail from Downtown Disney into DL, it stops in Tommorrowland.

One entrance to DL, and the Main entrance to DCA is 100 yards away; they face each other. There is also a gate into DCA from the Grand Cal Hotel, as well as a DL entrance at the DtD monorail station which goes to the TL station. Most parking is in a large garage a tram ride away, but there is a lot SE of DCA, too.

Cheers.

Thanky! Ok, that settles some of my lodging location issues.

During 12/26-29, is it too cold to enjoy the outdoor pools in the hotels/motesl just outside of the park? Should we in fact look for places that offer indoor pools/jacuzzis?

Probably it would be too cold, but this being S CA, you never know--we might be having a heat wave. Last year at that time it was pouring rain.

DCA has a 3rd entrance just for the Paradise Pier guests. To the right of the Grand Californian driveway entrance is a walkway that leads to an entrance into Paradise Pier between Souvenir 66 and Mulhulland Madness.

This probably does help much but it is good trivia. We used it when when stayed at the PP hotel in 2001.

FYI, I've heard that the PP entrance into CA has been closed for some time. Not absolutley sure of that, just what I've heard. :confused3

As far as the weather being warm enough to swim, it's hit and miss (generally more miss than hit). We've spent Christmas day at the pool some years and on others we've been bundled up in front of the fire!

As I was posting my reply, I realized that it had been a while and things change. It was a nice perk for the PP guests. It was definitely a hike to get to DL from PP.

We usually stay at the Anaheim Desert Inn and Suites where there is an indoor pool; 10 minute walk to the main gate.

Cheers.

Indoor Pool/Tub it is!

Best Breakfast exterior Hotel/Motel?

I like Comfort Inns, and the one on Katella claims to be .2miles from Disney.... In reality, how far from Main Entrance?

Yes, we're looking for LOW rates during 12/26-29.... Hopefully!

Any suggestions for those Budget places, sans roaches nor shady surroundings?

Gracias!

Help on Comfort Inn on Katella???????? Any other suggestions at that rate???

I would avoid the Comforts/Days in that area as some are might old and some are just not so nice....same w/the Best Westerns down there.

My top recommendation is CANDY CANE...best grounds, nice breakfast and pool is heated....plus it's very close and has nice beds, rooms etc.

Second recommendation would be the Coast Hotel...nice high rise...does charge parking and no breakfast included.
