Two on the DDP, Two are not...?

Boyfriend and I will be visiting in February and are on the dining plan.
Friends who live in Florida will be meeting us for the last day of our trip and are not on the plan.
We have dinner ADRs for 50s Prime Time Cafe. Do we simply inform the server of who is on the plan and who is not?

This might be the one night we finish the two appetizers and desserts that we get with out entrees!

yes - you can just get separate checks, it would be easier.
