Two Hour Waits Last Night for Car Rentals

My family waited on line for two hours to pick up their Budget rental car last night. Do you think this is typical of spring break travel or due to the severe storms that came through Orlando, yesterday?

More likely the weather than Spring Break. Car rental companies don't overbook so dramatically. Probably flights home were delayed so those renters returned the cars [much] later than expected.

Ugh...that's awful. My wait a week and a half ago was about 30-45 mins...at midnight. Longest wait for a rental car ever. On top of that I was a Fastbreak member and could have skipped the line,but was unsure about whether I could use Fastbreak as I had certain changes I needed to inform the agents about. I was online researching while waiting and couldn't find any info about my specific situation. UGH!

Had you been a member of their FastBreak program all you needed to do was go straight out to the garage. No need to wait in that line.

We saw a line that wrap back to the elevators last year I called the 800 number while in line and joined their Fastbreak program over the phone added my current reservation to my new Fastbreak acct and headed to the garage. Was done in 10 minutes

The storms were horrible and they delayed a lot of flights. That is probably the reason.

Maybe because the Arnold Palmer Golf Tournament was held over until today because of the weather. Maybe people (or golfers) didn't return their cars.

Drop in the bucket compared to the delayed flights because of the weather. The golf fans would not have caused any problem because they did not call the tourney until right around the time of the storm. Those renters would have been returning later anyway.
