Two Grandmas and the grandkids... Marathon weekend 2016 PTR (update 1/3)

Die hard born and raised Bronco fan...Syndee has great color and team choices!

As a non Star Wars fan (and yes I saw the first on in the theater when it was released in the 70s) I really enjoyed this installment! It was good, I dont think it lived up to the hype but having Hans, Lela, Chewie, Luke and lots others was certainly a treat!

I can't believe that in just a few days you will be running and enjoying WDW!

Well my packers had a rough one yesterday. We will see if your (and Sydnees Broncos) can do it tonight.

I agree with that about Star Wars. I think it has a promising future for episodes 8 and 9.

7 days 14 hours 32 minutes! But who's counting...

Departure Day  1/11/16

We have a nice and easy departure day to finish out our trip. To start the day we have breakfast ADR at Cape May Cafe for 8:35 AM. We haven't eaten here before so I'm interested to try it out.

There will be no park this day but we do have a couple options for after breakfast. Our flight leaves at around 5PM so we should have a 2ish pick up from DME.

Depending on the weather we could head to the pool for some fun. Or my other option would be heading over to Disney springs for a couple hours before we leave.

Good things must always come to an end. We should land in cold and probably snowy Milwaukee around 7PM central time.

Only one week!

Departure Day is the worst! But I think the Cape May breakfast will be a nice way to ease into the day ... a character breakfst always starts the day off right!

The only good thing about getting home from a Disney trip is that it means its time to start planning your next trip!

I know, it was nice to have a character meal so close that's one of the reasons I chose it on the last day.

I hope I get to start planning another Disney trip. I have no idea when I'll be back after this trip. I'm really hoping to go in July for the disunplugged 10th anniversary.

Finally caught up on your PTR. It sounds exciting, and it's like tomorrow now, right? As for other teens not understanding your love of Disney and running, just do what you like and be proud of it. The people that really get you will always be there for you.

I think you will like PF1900. It's a tradition for us now. The Mad Hatter is a total blast. Your plans and ADRs look really good.

The running sounds interesting. I hate running, but DH enjoys it and has done a marathon. We want to go to F&W in 2017 for s milestone birthday. I have been talking up the half to DH. If they have a F&W 5k, I could be convinced to do that, mainly to see the parks.

Good luck. I am looking forward to your TR.

Plane departs Tuesday at 3:50PM!

I didn't run at all before getting into rundisney. Disney really makes running enjoyable for me. F&W does have a 5K in Animal Kingdom called the Jingle Jungle 5k and it's Christmas themed.

Just under 48 hours!!!

I am pretty much finished packing a couple more items to add but otherwise good to go.

I also saw Osborne Light was extended until the 6th which is my DHS day! I've never seen the lights in person so I couldn't be more excited for that!

I hope everyone had a very happy new year!

I'm so excited for you! I've run many races but never one at WDW yet. It must be an amazing experience! Good luck! I know you'll do awesome!

Thanks! Disney is what got me into running. You really should do a race there it's the best!

Good for you that you get to see the lights!

However, BE PREPARED that it will be totally NUTS. Some advice - get there EARLY - before they even light 'em up, by at least 30 minutes, maybe even 45 minutes. The lighting ceremony in itself is super cool and then you will at least be able to find a spot. My guess is they will be controlling entry into the area - and there will likely be a HUGE crowd for it.

Good luck on your runs - and have lots of fun (and take lots of pictures)!

TOMORROW YOU'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!!

It's so exciting that you're going to get to see the lights ... we thought about going, but it just wasn't worth changing around our plans.

I hope I get to see you before the 5K on Thursday!

Thanks!

I know I figured the lights will be super busy so I plan on being there early as we have to leave for a ADR at Epcot that night anyways.

SO EXCITED!

Luckily that was our DHS day so I didn't have to change plans. I'm so excited to see the lights for the first time.

I hope I get to see you as well!
