Thank you for your sweet comments! :lovestruc

Stay tuned, I still have a ton to review!

Great reviews! Me and DH are from Canada as well and last we went I forgot about the iced tea not being sweetened! :lmao: I tried putting sugar in it but that just made it taste gross and nothing like the iced tea I'm used to.

We were in no hurry this morning, since it was still raining. We decided to get breakfast at Sunshine Seasons before hitting Future World.

DH had:
Adult Breakfast platter - Bacon, Eggs, sausage, and a biscuit $6.29

IMG_0995.jpg

Everything seemed fresh and hot. He wasn't too keen on the biscuit, we don't have those here, we usually eat regular toast with breakfast. He thought is was too dense and crumbly. That being said, I would really like to try some biscuits with sausage gravy in a future trip, since I've never had that.

I got a coffee and a kind of croissant blueberry pudding (not finding it on Internet).

IMG_0997.jpg

I really liked this! Since my surgery, I've cut out all of the carbs from my diet, but since this was our honeymoon, I ate what I wanted to eat and I must say that might have affected the way I felt about this dish. :confused3 It was moist, not too sweet, with a good amount of blueberries in it. The croissant bits were buttery good. I litteraly dreamt about getting this again, but it didn't happen. :sad2: Of course, I couldn't eat it all, so DH finished it, and said it was just okay. I know that he would of doused it with maple syrup, but he didn't like the syrup in Florida, so he ate it plain. I hope they keep this item on the menu so that I can get it again on a future trip.

We then toured Future World and Innoventions for a couple of hours and the rain finally stopped. We then headed to the World Showcase for some F&W sampling.

We first stopped at the Carribean booth:
Frozen Dragon Berry Colada - 7.50$
IMG_1022.jpg

Another hit with this alcoholic beverage! Carribean became my favourite booth because of the two awesome frozen cocktails. :cloud9:

We also got:
Jerk-spiced Chicken Drumstick
IMG_1024.jpg

This was pretty good! Love the little mango chutney and the chicken had great taste!

We then visited China and got:
Black Pepper Shrimp with Sichuan Noodles
IMG_1027.jpg

We both loved this dish! The shrimp was very lightly battered and cooked just right. The noodle were also pretty good with a nice kick. I'm just seeing that there was a green tea plum wine cooler and I'm kicking myself for not trying it, since when we walked up to the Joy of Tea cart later on during the week, they were all out of plum wine tea cooler. :headache:

We stopped at the South Korean booth for the:
Lettuce Wraps with Roast Pork and Kimchi Slaw

IMG_1053.jpg

This was really hard to eat properly! :rolleyes1 I tried to roll it in the lettuce, but the pork was kept in some gravy/broth and it leaked on my shirt. So we decided to eat it with a fork and knife. The pork was really tender and moist, we loved the little sauce/mayo on top. It was our first time tasting kimchi slaw and it was good. A nice dish.

Later on, we stopped at the Cheese kiosk and got:
Artisan Cheese Selection:
IMG_1066.jpg

Loved this and the garnishes, but we are cheese lovers. :cloud9: Didn't really care for the crackers, those went to the trash. There was a good mix of sweet garnishes and savory cheeses. The cheeses were all mild-ish for us, but we are known for liking really strong cheeses and bleu. The goat cheese with the craisins was my favorite. DH really liked the cheese with the honey. I think those slivered dried dates make a great garnish, too.

DH was wanting some sugar, so we stopped in Germany:
Apple Strudel featuring Werther's Original Karamell Sauce
IMG_1068.jpg

This was good but SMALL! :sad2: We seriously had a mini bite each and that's it. DH was disapointed in the serving size.

We took the Friendship Boat back to cool off and in Hawaii, I spotted the:
Seven Tiki Mai Tai

IMG_1094.jpg

This really packed a punch. Then again, I don't hold alcool that much since my surgery, it affects me quickly but still, whew, I had to sit down a little after drinking this. :rotfl: I might have been a little dehydrated, too.

While I was sobering up :lmao:, DH hit the Ireland booth for the:
Kerrygold Cheese Selection
IMG_1099.jpg

and his favourite:
IMG_5517.jpg

The cheese is really a huge plate! There were 4 really big pieces of cheese on it! The bread was kinda dry and not too fresh, so we didn't bother with it. I personally really like the savory/sweet chutney with the cheese. Some cheeses were stronger tasting, but they all were good. I can't recall our favorites, though.

We then headed back to the hotel. Later on, we headed to DHS for Fantasmic! and to MK for EMH. We had a late dinner at Cosmic Rays and we got a lemonade and:
1/2 Chicken and BBQ Rib Combination - served with Mashed Potatoes and a seasonal vegetable $14.19

IMG_7150.jpg

This was really big. The plate was too small for all that food. The mash was great for a counter-service and I really like the green beans, they were still crunchy, which I really like. The chicken was greasy. The skin was not crispy, but soggy. The ribs were tender, but had some fat on them. Then again, it might have been an off night, but it was just too greasy for me and upset my tummy. DH ate most of it and was fine. He found it greasy, but still a great value. We would try it again. :confused3

Before leaving, since I had almost not eaten, I got a tropical smoothie from Auntie Gravity's which was really good and made with fat-free yogourt. No pics, I forgot.

We had an appointment at the Mandara Spa at 1 o'clock, so we slept in a little. At 11:00, we decided to head down to the Fountain for lunch.

IMG_7548.jpg

We had to wait a couple of minutes, since the restaurant was just opening. There were about 2-3 families waiting to be seated.

DH got water and:
Ahi Tuna Burger - medium rare, topped with spicy Asian slaw on a sesame seed bun $13.95

IMG_7199.jpg

This was supposed to be served with chips, but he subbed fries. There was a 2-3 dollar supplement for this change. He was very satisfied with this burger. The tuna was perfectly seared and rare inside, it was a nice piece of fish, the fries were crisp and fresh, but for him, the star of the burger was the slaw, adding a ton of freshness and crispiness to the burger. The pickle was also huge!

I got a pink lemonade and this:
Buffalo Chicken Salad - romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar cheese and cucumbers, tossed with ranch dressing and topped with buffalo chicken $13.50

IMG_7200.jpg

First off, I loved the fact that this salad was already tossed. I hate when dressing is on the side and you can't toss the salad in your plate properly. This was a huge portion. The tomatoes, lettuce and cucumber were very fresh and crisp, the dressing wasn't too rich and there was just enough. The buffalo chicken bites were outstanding. The sauce was tangy and a little sweet with a nice spiciness. The batter was still crisp under the sauce and the meat was all white and nice. I had the rest of it packaged and we stored it in the fridge before going to the spa.

At the spa, they have a daily tea selection and I had a lovely cup of ginger peach tea and some citrus water. We had booked a couple's retreat package: 30 minutes of jacuzzi and then a 50 minute couple massage. It was great! :lovestruc

After our spa appointment, we had a little rest and ate the rest of the salad as a quick supper before heading to MK for MNSSHP.

After Jungle Cruise, our first stop was Aloha Isle...
Pineapple Float - pineapple, vanilla, or orange Dole Whip with pineapple juice $4.49

IMG_7276.jpg

Again, this was a hit. A must-have snack in Magic Kingdom, for sure! I also got a popcorn around the hub while waiting for the Vilains and the parade later in the night. No pics of this. :sad2:

After the fireworks and some serious trick or treating, DH was getting hungry, so we headed to Peco's Bill and got a lemonade and:
Taco Salad - fried flour tortilla with seasoned beef $8.19

IMG_7503.jpg

Of course, when you receive your order, this is not was it looks like. It's only the shell and the ground beef and you have to load it up at the fixings bar.

DH was doing a serious happy dance when he saw the fixings bar at this place! :woohoo: He piled his taco shell high with everything that was offered: salsa, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese AND cheese sauce... Here's what it look like once gutted:

IMG_7507.jpg

He even made a second trip to the bar to refill the shell. :rotfl: He really liked his experience with the taco salad at this place!

On our way out, we made a quick stop at the Main Street Bakery for an ice cream cookie sandwich.

Some bakery selections:
IMG_7511.jpg

Cinnamon rolls - these look decadent!
IMG_7519.jpg

Our selection, with chocolate chip cookies and vanilla ice cream:
IMG_7521.jpg

This is huge. Plan to share! The cookies could have been a bit softer, they were fresh but slightly overcooked, so we needed knives to cut them - we ate this with a fork. The vanilla ice cream was nice and rich. A really good snack!

Here is the candy stash that we brought back to our kiddos:
IMG_7539.jpg

I'm sorry, I really don't know. :confused3 We paid all our food OOP. éi didn't even consider the DDP when I booked, since it wouldn't work for me - way too much food for my small stomach. The ice cream sandwich was between 4 and 5 $

Maybe someone else can chime in? :)

We love Sunshine Seasons & usually make it there at least once or twice on every trip.

Wow that Taco Salad at Pecos Bills looks great!! I love taco salad.

Also love that Main St. Bakery.:goodvibes

Thank you for your lovely comments. :lovestruc

I hope you can get the ice cream sandwich with a snack credit, archdandy. I think that would be awesome value. :)

Since we had attended MNSSHP the night before and went to bed late, we decided to take our time and arrive at Epcot for 11:00 o'clock, when WS opened.

First off, DH was famished, so we headed to Morocco and stopped at Tangierine Café for a lamb and chicken Shawarma Platter to share. We also got cups of ice water.

IMG_7551.jpg

Everything was good and fresh. Again, I had most of the tabouleh since DH doesn't really care for it.

We then set out to visit the France Pavillion, see the film and got to see Belle and Aurora. I also got two lovely scented soaps from the lavender boutique. We then entered the Boulangerie Pâtisserie for the first time and selected a very nice crème brûlée.

IMG_7605.jpg

This was delish! The top was perfectly crunchy and the crème was the perfect consistency, smooth and rich, not grainy. Awesome dessert, one of the best crèmes brûlées I've had - and I have had alot! :lmao:

When walking in front of the Belgium kiosk, the Godiva Chocolate liqueur ice coffee caught DH's eye.

IMG_7607.jpg

This is his kind of drink. I tasted it and found that it didn't have any substancial coffee taste, but that didn't bother DH in the least. He downed this really quickly while I had a restroom stop. The only negative comment he had was that the cup was filled with way too much ice.

At the New Zealand kiosk, we tried the seared sea scallop.

IMG_7632.jpg

DH didn't really care for this. This surprised me since he is usually a scallop fan. Anyway, I had most of it and I liked it. I found that the scallop was perfectly cooked, with a nice crisp seared outside and a rare inside. I found that the curry sauce paired very well with the radish and apple chutney. It was lovely.

We visited the Japan department store. Did somebody ever try these snacks? :scared1:

IMG_7670.jpg

IMG_7672.jpg

These were just a little to weird for us. :rotfl:

The sushi candy was sooo cute!

IMG_7651.jpg

I got a taste of the sparkling sake. It was light and fruity. Here we encountered some bad service for the first and only time of the trip. A male CM - he was American, not Japanese, btw, was standing behind the bar counter doing absolutely nothing, while the women employees were completely swamped at the cash registers and the bar. The lines were really long. He was talking to someone about his recent promotion or whatever.

Anyway, we waited literally for 5-10 minutes at the bar before he even aknowledged us and asked for my id. He never smiled, he never offered any info about the different kinds of sake to taste, nothing and was really arrogant. It just kinda left a bad taste in my mouth, since the other employees were working so hard and were offering excellent customer service.

We got the Hana Fuga, a sparkling sake with a fruity taste. It was light and really good tasting for those who don't like "harsher" sake. It was 6 $

IMG_7678.jpg

After that, we continued on to the Singapore kiosk for the shrimp cake on a sugar cane.

IMG_7698.jpg

We are used to these kinds of shredded shrimp cake, since they serve them at our favorite Dim Sum place, without the sugar cane. The noodles were cold and a little bland, a little hot sauce/seasoning would have been nice. The sugar cane did not bring any flavor to the dish, but made for an interesting presentation. DH did not really like the shrimp cake, since it was kind of crumbly. I agree that I have had some better cakes. This was just ok.

At the Poland kiosk, we got the kielbasa and potato pierogie.

IMG_7721.jpg

This was surprisingly good. I did not have high expectations for this dish, it didn't really appeal to me, but the pierogie was stuffed with mashed potato and was quite good. The sausage bits were also nice. Overall, a good dish.

DH then stopped at the Italy kiosk and got the angel hair pasta with shrimp.

IMG_7724.jpg

I have a feeling it was sitting out for a bit because the sauce on top was a little dried up. The shrimp were a little overcooked. The sauce had a nice spicy kick to it. However, this failed to impress us. It was ordinary.

I spotted the Joy of Tea kiosk and wanted to try the Green Tea Plum Slush, but they didn't have any on that day. :confused3 I went wth the mango green tea slush, which is non-alcoholic. In hindsight, I should have gotten the Peach Snap, since that is one of DH's favourite liqueurs. :headache:

IMG_7735.jpg

This was good, but a little sweet. I would have liked a little more tea taste and a little less mango, but it was still very refreshing and good.

We then left for a break at the hotel. Here are some goodies that we had bought at the Japan store to bring back home.

IMG_7754.jpg

The gummies were really good, they tasted of fruit juice and were not too sweet. The kids were really happy with these. They also loved the Pocky chocolate sticks. Those didn't last long in the house! :lmao: I tought it was similar to pretzels dipped in chocolate, without the saltiness. Very good. The mango drink was creamy and sweet, another hit with the kids. DH also liked it but I found it too sweet. The sake is really light tasting, but it's not as good as the Hana Fuga that we had tasted. It's still interesting, though. ;)

After the break, we headed back for a quick supper and Illuminations.

We hadn't got anything from England yet, so we opted for the fish and chip.

IMG_7794.jpg

This wasn't a hit at all. DH says it was the worst meal of the trip. The fish was cooked perfectly but it seems that it hadn't drained properly, so it was greasy! Very greasy! I scraped off some batter to eat the fish. Of course, they use really mild fish (I'm thinking maybe cod?), which is not DH's favorite. I usually like white fish, but without the batter it was bland. DH also prefers his fries to be thinner. I, on the other hand, loved the few thick fries that I had. But I really didn't eat much since it was so greasy I was scared of being sick.

On the nice side, we had a lovely table on the side of the lagoon to watch IllumiNations and take some pics. That was nice. While waiting, I got a cookie and a lattè from the coffee booth between England and Canada.

IMG_7864.jpg

IMG_7862.jpg

The cookie was nice and soft with lots of chocolate bits. But look at the lattè! Almost no foam! The lattès I have at home are actually cheaper than those at Disney and way better. The coffee was weak and it tasted watered down. I must say that I was really missing my coffee while on vacation. I had no great expectation of the ordinary coffee, since I knew it was the Nescrap kind, but I thought the lattè would be better. :scared1:

After IllumiNations, we returned to the hotel and had an early night, since we wanted to make rope drop at DHS. :)

It looks like you guys had a lovely time at the Food & Wine festival. :lovestruc I don't know if I would be so adventurous about the snacks from the Japan store as your family :lmao:
