Two for One: Double Disney Birthdays! *Meg nonTR upd 9/23* // *Help out Katie! 10/22*

I'm here! Nice start ladies. :thumbsup2

and I see the glasses will be a part of our trip again.......

Yay for two pages! :banana::banana:

I was so excited to see two pages. :rotfl2: It's the little things. How was the Titanic exhibit??

Can't wait to hear more

HEY! Glad to "see" you! How have you been??

Hi, Megan and Katie!!! How fun to have birthday trips!!!

MeMom, you beat me!!!

Hi, Jackie! I'm so glad you came over!

I love birthday trips, even when they are not my birthday. Kailyn has celebrated many of her birthdays in Disney, just because she's the one whose birthday falls at the best time for us to visit.

Finally! :yay:

It'll probably never happen again, but I did it once! :rotfl:

I shall have to be more vigilant from here on out when someone starts a new PTR/TR. :lmao:

I think MeMom came in under her camouflage. :rotfl:

And I shall bask in my small glory of beating you ONE time! :rotfl:

If we're lucky, I think we might be getting some Titanic exhibit pictures around here soon. :)

I am really hoping for Titanic exhibit pictures! I still need to tell Katie how to post pictures on here from Facebook. I've had a Mac for a few years, so I know it's a little different, but I'm pretty sure I remember how to do so on a PC.

There's a Harry Potter exhibit at the Museum of Science, and Charles and I are going next Thursday before we go to the Bruins game, so if there's any Harry Potter fans, I want to post pictures.

I'm here too!!

Hi Katie! :wave2:

Hi, Mom!!

They will be a part of every trip. Who knew $12 antique-store glasses could provide so much entertainment? :rotfl:

Hi Everyone! Thanks for coming over and joining Meg and I here! We are both really looking forward to our trips and to sharing them with you!

Because of the exhibits policies I was not allowed to take pictures in the Titanic Exhibit, but if you ever get the chance to go see it, it is really good. Before arriving at the exhibit we had the opportunity to get close to a hawk that was on a local university's lawn:

And our sunset when we were leaving the exhibit:

After the exhibit we headed to dinner at Dinosaur BBQ and while we were there we learned something that led to an unexpected event. Our waitress asked us what our plans for the evening were and when we said we were heading home she said she was suprised she thought that we must be going to Disney on Ice since I had a WDW sweatshirt on...We didn't even know it was playing at the arena across the street from where we were! We ended up deciding to go see if we could get good seats. We did! The gentleman at the ticket counter even gave us a coupon for $10 seats!

Right before the intermission started my camera died so I don't have any pictures from the second half to share with you but it was all about Cinderella. If I can get some pics from my friend's camera I will share them later this week. Sorry for the large size!

Katie, Disney on Ice looks like a lot of fun!!!

It was a ton of fun! And so unexpected! The friend that we were with has never been to any Disney On Ice show, so she was thrilled that we ended up there! It was a really good show too, I might try to convince Patrick that we should go again when it's here in Buffalo next week :lmao:

Do it! :rotfl2: Btw your pictures came out amazing. I forgot to ask you what the show was about when you texted me last night. It looks like so much fun and I'm so glad you got to go!

I decided to change my font color (to differentiate from Katie's updates) to a pretty purple color. I made some headway on trip-related things!!! I wanted to switch my dog Caesar's vet to the one that we board him with, just because it's actually much closer to me and much, much easier to get to. So, I did that -- I called to have them fax his records to the new vet, AND I scheduled his boarding!! I'm dropping him off the day before we leave, because our flight on the 10th leaves Boston a little after 7 am. I'm calling tomorrow to set up an appointment for his kennel cough vaccine. Just having those two things done takes a LOT off my mind -- we are leaving in 27 days and I'm finally starting to feel like a cross between this guy, :scared1: and this guy :hyper: . Next time I update, it will likely be about food (Disney food :cloud9: ), or plans and what we really, really want to do on this trip that we didn't do on our last trip. I'm probably going to wait for the food update until Katie finalizes her ADRs. :thumbsup2

Ooohhh Dinosaur BBQ! Yum!! There is one in Syracuse...about an hour from me! Good eats!! ::yes::

You may not be waiting that long...Kris and my Mom don't seem to have any interest in where we eat (though my Mom has promised to look over a bunch of info I sent her and decide if we want to get the dining plan or not) so I may be making a bunch of reservations later tonight and then just canceling in a couple of weeks if we decide we don't want them. When I checked the other night the places we want were still mostly available.

Slight update: I attempted to schedule our ME pickup on-line (we are staying at BWV through RCI, our timeshare company) and it said it went through but then a couple of days later I got an email saying that they couldn't book our ME online b/c it is through RCI, even though the email you get from RCI said to book it online through a link they provided :confused3 So our ME is scheduled finally! Oh, and a small update from Sunday, I called to confirm our vacation with Disney b/c I had this weird feeling that something was wrong....I spent 45 minutes on the phone with them b/c they had no record of our reservation :scared1: This was after we have already gotten several confirmation emails from RCI and booked our airfare and bought tickets for something special (I'll share this info later when we do itineraries). Luckily after being on hold with Disney while they were on hold with RCI they found our reservation so all was well....just scared me half to death!

Tracy

We go to the one in Rochester (but have driven by the one in Syracuse when we drove out there for Disney Store). It is a favorite place of mine....before our October Disney trip this year Patrick took me there and I told him it was the start of the greatest week of my life : Dinosaur BBQ and Disney! :rotfl:

Megan, I am always the same way about scheduling Nala's kennel visit. Can't wait to hear about the Disney food choices (always my favorite thing at Disney -- well, one of my favorite things ate Disney).

Katie, thank goodness you decided to call! That's the stuff of nightmares right there!

It was definitely one of my worst nightmares! I'm off to work now, but I'm sure Meghan and I will be doing an official update very soon :)

Hey guys, can't wait to hear about dinner ressies. I just booked mine for April but not too excited on what I got. Hope you both had better luck! Meghan, just a quick aside (and Katie will appriciate it also) I know how you are a Buffalo Sabres fan, will we took the boys snowmobiling this week and had dinner across the way from the Sabres' coach Lindy Ruff, who was also snowmobiling!! Pretty cool. Well, can't wait for another update.

I have such a hard time trying to figure out just when to schedule it -- I don't want to call too early, but then I worry about calling too late and having them be full, especially since we're going for part of the week that all of the schools in our area are on vacation. I'm so glad that our other pets are two birds and two guinea pigs. They're easy. :rotfl:

What a great surprise to go see Disney on Ice!

Katie texted me last night to tell me, and I was jealous but so excited for them -- I still haven't been, but I love seeing the pictures.

Ooh, when in April are you going? Where are you staying?

We had pretty good luck with ADRs -- it was impossible to get anything on the day that they switched it back to 180 days, but once that craziness died down, it was really easy to book online. My mom was really excited about that, so she took advantage. I don't even know how many we have. :lmao:

That's really cool that you were right near the coach!! I do like the Sabres when they not are playing the Bruins. ;) We will hopefully update tonight or tomorrow!

Wait, did you tell me about this? I just re-read and noticed that -- now I am very curious! Are you holding back pertinent information from your very best DIS friend? :lmao:

What's RCI? I'm sorry your reservation was messed up!!

Love the Disney on Ice pictures! Someday I'd love to see it. :)

I'm pretty sure that I told you? Maybe I didn't...we just booked it on Saturday, so maybe not?

RCI is a timeshare company that we own points with. I love Disney On Ice, it's always a ton of fun!

On a great note, I made some ADR's tonight!!! I ended up making more then we needed because we haven't finalized plans yet, but I'm going to cancel some this weekend when we finalize if we are getting the dining plan or not...
