Part 1: WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM!
Day 1
Arrrrr!

We had a wonderful Mother/Daughter two day trip! This is my first trip report and it will be short, sweet, and full of pics...so it'll be worth it!
Well, we spent 4 days visiting family in Florida, so on Thursday morning we woke up at my Aunt's house in Starke, FL and headed out at 9:00am for the 2-hour drive to Walt Disney World!

We were going to MNSSHP tonight on October 19, so we knew we'd be rushing all day! Well, we entered the Orlando area around 11:15am with clear skies!

Our first stop was Downtown Disney! I wanted to make sure to go to Ghirardelli's! I had never been and had read such wonderful things about it on The DIS! My Mom and I found a close parking spot and we couldn't believe the heat! It felt hotter now than it was when we were there in June for my wedding!
It was off to Ghirardelli!

I had asked my fellow DIS'ers what to get and I went with their suggestion and got the Cable Car! My Mom and I lucked out and got the last available table and took a seat. The Cable Car wasn't what I expected. I expected it to be in a glass, but no...even better!

The chocolate chip ice cream in the middle was fantastic! It seriously was the best chocolate I've ever tasted!

We then made our way to Goofy's Candy Co. I couldn't believe all the neat Halloween candy they had! It all looked so good! I loved all of the Halloween decorations and it was getting me very excited for MNSSHP!

I saw the Goofy's Glaciers as soon as we walked in and I told my Mom I had to have one!

I got in line and picked out the bottom and top for my cup...I decided to go with Mickey!

I went with the orange and green flavored glacier! It was very cool and refreshing! Pooh even wanted to try some!

We then went to my fav store, the biggest Disney store in the world, World of Disney! I, of course, noticed all of the new displays and items for the Year of a Million Dreams!

I get so excited when I go to this store, but the clock was ticking! I only had about a hour to shop because we had to try and check into our Resort by 2:00pm! We had to change and get to our reservations at Liberty Tree Tavern at 4:10pm, so we had to shop fast! I grabbed two shopping baskets and went on my way! My first stop was to create and decorate my own pirate hat! I wanted to get one to wear to MNSSHP! I filled up two and a half baskets full of goodies! I got a lot of Disney Halloween items...a bag, pumpkin candle holders, Mickey pumpkin lights, Halloween candy dish, photo album, and a Mickey ears pirate bandana! The deal they had going on was if you spent $60.00 you got a Disney blanket for $15.00! They were very nice too and I qualified to get two, so I got one for me and one for my Mom for $30.00! I also got 10% off my bill and saved $14.00 with my Disney Visa! That made me very happy!

We made it back to the car and we're on our way to check into the All-Star Music Resort. We got there around 2:15pm and were the only ones there for check-in. They told us our room was ready...yay!

It was my Mom's first time to a Disney Value Resort, so I was excited to show her how nice they were! Well, we got our room # and we were in room 6266, way in the back in the Country Fair area. I wasn't happy being so far away and in the very back of the Resort. It happened to me when I stayed at All-Star Movies too and was put in the back in the Mighty Ducks area. We got back in our car and drove all the way to the back of the resort and got lost trying to figure out where we were going!

We grabbed the luggage we needed with our pirate costumes and began the walk to our room on the 3rd floor! The sun was beating down on us and we were sweating!

I've got lots more to report and more pictures to post!!
