two bedroom villas at grand Californian hotel

which rooms are close the entrance to California Adventure
i have never stayed in his hotel
i wanted to request a room near the entrance to the park
is it better to do it online or should i call in person

The DVC rooms are in one wing of the hotel which is a bit further back from the park entrance. We just got back and had a bit of a view of the ferris wheel/rollercoaster from the 3rd floor.

You can cut through the pool deck to get to the entrance to California Adventure, and have to go through the lobby to get to the entrance to Downtown Disney/Disneyland.

i would like to be on ground level or near the elevator cause 2 people in my group are 70 & it would be easier for them to get around

VGC is very small and there are no very long walks in the wing. For the shortest distance possible I'd keep the request at being near the elevators.
