two AWESOME WISCONSIN adults go to Disney for the first time. updated!!! 1/15/12 MK

OOoohhh, that lady was giving you the daggers!:scared1: HOW RUDE, as Michelle Tanner would say!

Love all the CP photos! We really enjoyed our meals there.

Line cutters are the worst, it does have a side effect, it showed my kids that kind of behavior is wrong & how it feels so they don't do things like that!

Nice rain:lmao:, must have been the night we were at WCC, poured like crazy that afternoon.

I had heard plenty on the boards before going how rude some people could be. I'm just happy i didnt run into any of those Brazillion tour groups ive heard so many loving stories about.
I was just pretty peeved at the Crystal Palace. We were VERY QUICK with the characters and when Pooh skipped us they didnt care. GRRRRR. :rotfl:
oh well.

Coming out of lurkdom to introduce myself as a fellow Wisconsinite :cool1: I have been following your TR and can't wait to see the rest!!

And your comment on the Lawrence trivia contest cracked me up - since I am counting down the days to the Stevens Point contest...can't wait!!!

Sarah

I love Stevens Point trivia too! I used to live in Stevens point for like 10 years. Well, my dad did. My parents are divorced and i spent all summer and weekends there. He used to run the old Best Western and we lived in one of the rooms! Best set up EVER. wooooo!

:wave2:You know, I never did Trivia weekend when I was at Lawrence, but my younger sister is there now and she is all about it. I'm sure she'll spend her whole weekend playing! :rotfl:

I love that you two saw so many characters! Sometimes my husband and I get too self-conscious to do that because we don't have kids. I think next time we go I need to be much braver and stop for photos!

Sometimes I am just blown away by how rude people can be at Disney. It's not so much kids that bother me at all because they don't know better, but it really makes you wonder when you see parents setting such a horrible example.

PS-Hi, fellow Wisconsinite SarahSlink! :wave2:

My husband is the one who's the die hard trivia one. He and his team Skull Squadron have been playing for a good 7-8 years and other than last year they are almost always in the top 5.
We also do not have any shame so i ran up to the characters just like all the kids and he'd be there with me. :lmao: and you really dont have to talk. Some times i didnt. I'd say "HI!" get my picture and then say "thank you Pooh Bear!" or what have you. i think that only happened once or twice though, most of the time i had plenty to say or they would point at our anniversary buttons and do some charades we would have to decifer. :confused3

Yes, I am updating during the Packer game. Im so nervous that i need to focus on something else while listening to my husband scream at the game
GO PACKERS PLLLLLLLLEASE!!!!!

So we had finshed some Tiki Room and some POTC and it finally stopped raining. didnt have much of a game plan this day so just wandered. Ended up here.
isnt it so pretty?

really wanted to see Tiana and the princess and the frog gang on the boat but never remembered it. Maybe next trip. That is seriously such an awesome Disney movie!!

We went and hopped on Haunted Mansion, then took a right and it seemed to be parade time! and holy man what a difference from watching it right on main street! i had a huge area to myself with no one in arms distance away!!

So here it is, the 3 pm parade.

HELLO GAPETTO!!! yeah! love the old school characters!
P9200053.jpg

you know what these people yelled at me at about this time?
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!! i thought that was super sweet that they noticed and called out to us.
P9200054.jpg

P9200056.jpg

im over here on this side. :guilty:

and then, the best part of the parade. Princess Tiana is probably my favorite princess, and same with the movie, as i mentioned before.
So at the end was Tiana and Naveen and they look down at me and they yell
"happy anniversary!"
i really thought that was very awesome that they noticed.
here they are yelling it at us!

Went over to Snow White and rode it once. And the last time since i heard its being cleared out for something else.

Here's my only picture of the construction. but i got one!

I really cant remember what we did for the rest of the afternoon, but pretty soon we were being shuffled out of the park for MNSSHP. we didnt go this night, but we went later in the week!
So we took the monorail back over to the Poly where we were going to do the SPIRIT OF ALOHA dinner show.
Picture on the beach!

Some of these pictures didnt turn out the best so i apologize.

I ordered this drink for the pretty cup, and the lady took it twards the end of the night to "Rinse" it for me and we had to find her and ask for it back because she never returned to our table with it. Our waitress was kind of spacey. She seemed like she couldnt handle the amount of things she needed to take care of.

Food was good though, especially the dessert!!

Came back to our room at Port Orleans and had a most awesome towel animal on the bed.

First, I want to mourn with you.:sad2: It's gonna be hard to live here in WI for a while. To keep my mind off the game, I read a book...in between screaming at the screen "WHY ARE YOU DROPPING THE BALL!!"

The next time we go to MK, I'm going to catch the parade where you did. I never really planned where to watch it before, we just happened to be on Main St when it came around.

Awesome pictures! Such great interaction with the characters!

How did you enjoy the Spirit of Aloha Dinner? My DH had brought it up before. Food looked good!

I am thankful that my husband has not given me my obligatory green bay packer fan wife beat down since they lost.
it was so aweful to watch.
so so so so so so so bad.
like what, 9 drops and 4 fumbles or something along those lines?
AHHHHHH!!!*^*&^*#^#$@&*^@#%

not like anything else matters anymore, but as for my TR:
we will never do Spirit of Aloha again. it was somewhat boring. The fire dancing was fun. THe guys are hot but know it so i wasnt too impressed with that. Tim asked me "how many of these people have had relations together do you think?" because thats what Tim thinks about. :confused3 haha. but its a high percentage, im sure. Then i couldnt stop thinking about that for the last half of my dinner. The food was good but our waitress was dense.
not worth the moocha moola or two dining credits we used on it, but i was happy to do it once.

Good to know! I'm not really wanting to spend MORE money to watch hot people thinking of having relations!:rotfl2:

I'm loving your report so far!! My first trip with my husband (then BF) was also to WDW and we stayed at Port Orleans :goodvibes Can't wait to read more!

Ok, not sure how I missed your trip report...but I am here now!

We are also from Appleton! Your trip sounds so fun so far! I can't wait to read more about it as I count down the days to my own trip.

hello fellow Appletoniter. I paged through your dining report and i love that you guys love to eat! Seriously, we spent half our trip eating at least! and it was so much fun! :thumbsup2

we are also planning our next trip and although its in December im already picking out the next restaurants. nom nom nom.

AWESOME TRIP REPORT! You guys would be a blast to hang with at WDW!

i agree!! im not vain or anything. haha
Tim wanted to meet another couple our age to hang out with while at WDW but we never did. i think its because we were too busy to pay attention to those around us unless they were in character costumes!
This next trip we are taking in December will *hopefully* be more relaxed and we plan to spend more time in bars (love the margarita bar in mexico!) and make friends!
and thanks for reading by the way!
