Two Aussie first-timers in Disney! Lots of photos! NEW- FINAL CHAPTER! - Ch 20, Pg 30

And I felt sad in the pit of my stomach, like I’d left a friend behind who I wouldn’t see again for a long time.
Hey! Isnt that what you said about ME! I see you use this line about everything! :snooty:

This was soooo enjoyable! I don't like cities (I know). But the next time I go to New York, I will definetly look at it through your eyes. I had no idea they had all those tours to offer! I guess I'd better get on a train and go up there!

It's so funny that you kept apologizing for it being "so long". I kept asking myself: "Does she know that she's on the DIS, and we are living through this report"? :surfweb:

Thanks to you, I am really considering some weekend trips to more local places. I've never been to Canada, so I'm really looking forward to that part - so make it LONG okay!!!!!!

Oh please don't think you are going on and on. I am loving every word you write. You definitely have a way of taking us along with you on your trip!!

Can't wait for the proposal story!!!

I have never read such a nice description of a city! Glad you had a great time!:) :)

Hey i thought about this while i have been reading your posts. My daughter is a cheese popcorn freak as well and we have foun some microwave cheese popcorn that is awesome. It is by act 2. I am not sure if yall can get it over there or if you can order it online but if not i am sure we could get you a care package of it shipped over there. Take care. Stay Cheesy!!!:rotfl2: popcorn::

Hi,
SO HAPPY you enjoyed NYC. It is a great city. Hotels and apartment rooms here in the city are small. You learn to deal or make more moeny for a bigger room. LOL. I live in a studio and it is fine with me.
I live 2 blocks away from the central park pics you took while you on the row boat.
We did the double decker tour bus last year (if you live here you don't do touristy things) and I loved it. I took 250 pics.
Sorry you didn't like "Rent", I loved it when we saw it, but it was problably a different cast.
"Beauty and the Beast" was good I thought. It is closing on July 29th. Then in the fall they are bringing in "The Little Mermaid" musical. I'm dying to see "Mary Poppins" but it sold out.

If u visit again let me know I can give you a list of places that are must sees.

look forawrd to the rest of your trip. i was especially curious of this report, some people come here and are to scared to look around. Really it is a safe place and a great place. Sorry so long.

I truly loved that New York report... you made me feel like I was right there with you :) And your reports are NOT too long!! Thank you for sharing

ahh I need cheese popcorn now!! I'm finally caught up on your report :) It's great!!

and speaking about george bush, he ate at a resturant a block away from my house. It was madness! He brings his own food to the resturant, and his chef cooks it lol. I didn't get to meet him because I had school  but their were helicoptors and police everywhere that morning.

I can't wait for your next chapter :goodvibes

Are you going to write about Dublin?! I hope so!! I've really enjoyed your trip report!!!:thumbsup2

My family is from Ireland, though we moved to Texas when I was just a wee thing, so I actually have a Southern drawl and everything!! (Well if you really wanted to know, my mom had me in TExas b/c I was an early bird and they were just visiting Texas at the time, so I have dual citizenship!! Yay ME!!)But I'd love love to see what you did in Ireland!!! My cousins live in Sutton, which is a "suburb" of Dublin. It's a fun city! I like Galway better...but that's probably b/c that is where all my family is from!!

You've done a lovely job with your report!! I can't wait to read more!!!:thumbsup2

Finally managed to catch up with your NY report. Have you ever considered travel writing? Another great report.:goodvibes

Wonderful installment, really!! :thumbsup2 I'm into "the vibe" of a place, too.

I can't wait for my kids to get a bit older so I can take them into the city and see the sights, museums, etc. There just isn't time to do it all!!

Please write about Toronto and Dublin in the same fabulous detail!

Kathy

I've just spent, about an hour reading your trip report. Too fun...keep it coming...Lisa

I am so glad you enjoyed New York City so much! It is the city that never sleeps! Your making me want to take a trip into the city. Maybe I can get my mom to watch my little DS for a day so me and my DH can go out and see a show and have dinner.

Your trip reports are really geat, and if no one has answered this already Brooklyn and the Bronx different. There is Borrklyn, Bronx, Manhatten, Queens, and Staten Island; all five make up NYC. Then there is Long Island not apart of the city but very close.

Hey everybody!! :yay:

Oooh, thanks for all the fun replies!! I'm glad you all enjoyed my New York report... I was so worried that I'd rambled on for too long!

So I've started writing school reports, which is never much fun. :sad2: I'm starting to feel a wee bit stressed, but I'm going to try very hard to have the next chapter up in the next couple of days! So stay tuned!!

Glendamax... Augh!! Did I really say that about you? That I felt like I'd left a friend behind!? Seriously, I sat there for a long time thinking about your post and feeling guilty!! Augh! Sorry! And... I'm excited that you'll give New York another go! I know some people don't like cities, so New York might not be for you after all! It is a whopper of a city, after all! And yep, I'll make the Canada parts long, don't worry! I can't stop myself, it seems!!

ILMICKEY... Phew, I'm so glad people are still enjoying my ramblings!! The proposal story is coming up next! You won't wait for long!!

Sue88... Hehee, glad you enjoyed my nice description of New York! It really is a nice city!!

dixie lolly... Aww, you're so nice! Seriously though, I think I had enough cheese popcorn throughout Disney and New York to last me until we go to Hawaii in January!! Hehee! popcorn::

scottny... Yay, I definitely loved New York. How funny that you only live 2 blocks away from where we were in Central Park! What a small world! I agree with you about The Little Mermaid musical - that would be fantastic!!

Marion... Thanks for your nice post! Great to hear that it wasn't too long after all!! Heehee!

wdw_girl_18... Yay! Jump on the cheese popcorn train!! popcorn:: Loved your story about George Bush eating at the restaurant near you! :lmao:

CampbellScot... I'll definitely write about Dublin!! Next up will be Toronto, then Montreal, then Dublin! So it won't be too far away! You're right about Dublin - it really is a fun city! :woohoo:

packerbeth... Ooh, I'm glad I could entertain you while you dealt with your sick kids drama, and the ants as well! Goodness me! As for Robert Scorpio from General Hospital... I don't know if he's Australian! I've never heard of him, sorry!! I'm not a General Hospital fan though - I wonder if someone else could tell us!? How funny!!

lisaj... Aww, thankyou for your nice comments! I've never seriously considered travel writing, no! Only in my dreams! :goodvibes I used to want to be a journalist when I was at school, but our Careers teacher told me I wasn't mean enough to be a journalist! Heh! But I love teaching, so it's all good! :teacher:

KathyRN137... Heya! I'm so glad you get the "vibe" of a place too, and it's not just wacky old me!! And I'll be sure to write about the next places in the same detail... I can't really stop myself! Ha!

CastleCreations... Ooh, good job reading the whole trip report in an hour! Thanks for popping in! :yay:

missmun52... Thanks for the explanation of the 5 different burroughs (is that the word?!) of New York City! And yep, you should definitely get your Mom to babysit while you go play in the city for a day!! :woohoo:

Thanks again so much everybody, for still reading and for all your nice messages!! I promise I'll have the Toronto chapter up soon!! :surfweb:

Another great installment!!! It's kind of sad, but I live about 5 hours away from NYC (driving at a reasonable pace) and I've never been there for a visit... :(

And don't worry about the let-down feeling when you arrived in Toronto... Most Canadians experience it as well!! :lmao:

Just kidding to the Torontonians out there... I kid because I love!! :)

Sorry to hear you are feeling some stress from work. I can relate! Do you ever get an eye twitch?! Whenever I am feeling really stressed at work I get a very annoying eye twitch! (yes, it is just as attractive as it sounds!:rotfl: )
Your lovely trip report tends to battle stress and cause happy relaxation!:thumbsup2

I hope the stress is easing up a little bit.

Looking forward to reading more. No pressure. Well maybe a teeny bit... ;)

I live about 45 minutes from NYC and I think you accomplished more than I have in 47 years! I go into the City for Broadway shows but I've never done any of the tours. I'm definitely going to look into the Movie/TV Show bus tour. That sounded like a lot of fun.:cool1: So glad you enjoyed your time there. It certainly is an exciting place to visit and live. Looking forward to reading about your next stop.

I totally LOVED your New York report.. I couldn't wait to read this! I can't wait for your Toronto & Niagara Falls trip report! It will be quite sad when this trip report is over though...
