Hi. We are seasoned cruisers but this is our fourth Disney cruise. If we dont want to be on main deck for sailaway but want a relaxing adult sailaway with other adults is there any place we should go other than the deck above the Main Pool, Meridian Bar outside?

We are sailing concierge if that makes any difference (For instance NCL has a champage sailaway).

Thank you.

Only have done sail away party on DCL, but on NCL we did sail away in the spa. Perhaps that is an option on DCL? I thought I remembered there being a giant glass wall opposite those heated loungers in the DCL spa, but someone can correct me if I am wrong. Of course, you would have to get a day spa pass or length of cruise pass if it wasn't open house.

Thank you. We plan on getting a length of cruise spa pass when we get on board. Did they do anything special or did you just hang out in there.

Thank you.

Like I said, that was on NCL, not DCL, so this will most likely differ from DCL. They didn't do anything special in the spa, but the spa on that ship (Pearl) is located at one of the most forward points of the ship, so it was a fabulous view and relatively empty. We relaxed on the loungers and enjoyed the view and got some good pictures leaving Seattle.

Thank you. Sorry, I read without glasses and skimmed. We really like NCL a lot as well as RCCL and have only sailed DCL with family so trying to do as much as we can adult only , for instance only eating in Palo and Remy and having a cabana on SB.

Thanks so much!

No problem! I have done that before too. Have a fabulous cruise!!!

I'm led to believe that when you say main deck area, you are referring to where the sail away dance party is? You of course have the option of all the way forward in the adults area of the ship. The other outdoors option is deck 4 where the life boats are. Loungers and plenty of quiet. Depending on your outgoingness it can be social.

The Meridian lounge next to Palo/Remy has a great patio/balcony with aft views.

Me and DW were thinking about this the other day. We've never done a cruise before, never mind DCL, but really want the kids to log into the PC webcam so we can wave as we leave. We are thinking of being on our balcony until we have gone past Fishlips then going up top and seeing a bit of the sail away party. Will this still be going in at that time it will it all be over?

My favorite way to enjoy watching the ship go out to sea on the larger ships is to have a wonderful drink and sit in the adult hot tubs. You will have them nearly to yourself and a great view since they are both clear plexi-glass.

Thank you all very much.

Maybe we will try the Meridian Bar or the adult pool area.

Thanks.
