Twister Seasonal!!!!!

I think it means Twister will only be open during the busiest times right now. October and November aren't historically that busy except during HHN and Thanksgiving so Twister should be open. Hopefully...the economy will start turning around and Universal can leave it open every day again.

I hope its open in August, we have been on it I'd say 2 times before, but I forget what happens, lol!

I am probably in the minority here, but I am not impressed with this ride. You probably don't remember what happened because it was not that memorable. It simulates a small tornado, with a fake cow flying about.

I am from the Midwest, and have been in a couple of tornadoes over my lifetime. I was really afraid going into this ride/show/whatever it is. I don't back down from stuff I'm afraid of, so I forced myself to go. Afterwards, I though, "this was so lame." Watch the Discovery channel and you will really see what a tornado is.

I could see how this ride could be a hit, but I think that if you have to close down something, this would be the one to close.

I would think it would be open in August since it's busier than the fall...but who knows.

I couldn't agree more. Although Twister is one of my favorite movies.. many kids today have not seen it. the Tornado simulation is nice but it's not worth the line to wait in if you have done it already. I'm guessing that's another reason they chose this ride to shut down seasonally as it does not warrant the staffing to run during slower seasons.

I don't think anyone really wants it gone as much as understanding why this ride would be chosen to be shut down during slower times. Believe me, I love some of the cheesiest rides in Disney but if I miss some of them every other trip or so I understand. :goodvibes

Yeah its alittle cheesey but I still like it also!!:thumbsup2
The only downside is the wait till you get into the real show...
But if you look around while your waiting the theming is pretty kool!!

It was closed last week. I think its worthwhile to experience it. I'm sure it will be open in the summer.

i always do twister on my october trips.
Looks like it might not be opened for my next trip.

i like looking around inside to see the items on the walls
and i focus on something different each time in the reenactment scene.

just got back and i missed going on twister. we had someone with us that was never at universal before, and we really would have liked to take her.
