Could you tell me what time twilight checkin opens at Gatwick. We will be using it for the first time on Sunday 24th April. Also is it easy to find !!

Thanks Karen

It is easy to find & occupies a whole wall in the departure terminal. I think it opns at 3pm. Both bits of info. are in the booklet that will accompany your tickets & are probably also on the virgin atlantic website. We've always used this facility & have found it quick, easy & efficient

As you enter the South Terminal turn to your left and you will enter a large area. Facing you along the wall will be a long line of Virgin Atlantic check in desks and roped off areas for you to queue along. Can't miss it :)

Twilight check in now opens at noon on the day before. Also, don't forget you can also internet check in as well.

Thanks for your replies guys. I thought it would be easy to spot when you enter the terminal but always best to check !

Do you park in the short term car park while you check in and is this close to the South Terminal ?

Sorry about all the questions but don't want to mess up !

Thanks Karen

Just noticed you're from sunny Leicester :) Nice to see another local on the boards.

Here is a link to the Gatwick website:

We have always stopped over the night before our flight at the Gatwick Hilton, so don't know about short term parking.

Make sure you allow plenty of time to get down there though - the M25 is murder. Last trip we never got out of second gear from High Wycombe on the M40 to the Gatwick turn on the M25!!!

Hello from sunny Leicester (well it is at the moment!).

We are travelling down on the Sunday but not flying till Monday morning so the dreaded M25 shouldn't be too bad.

Thanks for the map.

We have parked in the short term car park to do our Twilight check in before. It's not too far of a trek.

It is very expensive in short term parking. I think we parked for 3 hours (this was three years ago and from memory so info might be wrong now) and I don't remember getting much change from £20.

(You won't need three hours for Twilight, we stayed that long to have a meal and look round the shops!)

We use short term parking & it cost us a couple of quid - we were there for just about 30 mins all in! If I remember rightly you can pay at the machine by cash or credit card.

Prices begin at £1.90 for up to 30 minutes, go up to £4.60 for between 1 and 2 hours up to £17.50 for between 18 and 24 hours, and for anytime over the first 24 hours it is £17.50 per 24 hours or part thereof.

From the LGW site. So don't do what I did and stay for over two hours :teeth:
