Will you laugh?
will you cry?
or will you just be glad it’s
over?
As for me …I wanted to cry!
How could the week have gone so fast when the 18 months it took to plan it took so long?
Our plan was Disney Studios today since we only have ½ a day and we have will have only been here ½ a day previously in the week.
DS opens at 9:00 so our alarm will go off at 6:00 so we can pack up and clear out our room, getting to the bus stop no later than 8:30. We will leave our bags at the front desk while we tour for the morning and pick them up when our town car service arrives.
We have an ADR for Sci-Fi at 11:00.
That was the plan….Here is what really happened….
My packing last night, after two mudslides must have been done well!( I don’t remember )
because there wasn’t much to do this morning. We dropped off our luggage at the baggage area. For breakfast we headed to the food court. Once again I had the chocolate chip pancakes, as did Deavon. Tony had the Bountiful platter and Brandon had the Biscuits & Gravy. Again, there was nothing spectacular about the food. It was standard food court quality.
Then we hopped on the bus to Disney Studios.
No surprises here. We headed straight to R & RC and ToT. We got FP for R&RC before heading to The Great Movie Ride. Have I mentioned I love this ride? I don’t care if it is corny and dated!
After GMR we went back to R&RC for our Fps. The other day we were here we didn’t do Backlot and Catastrophe Canyon so off we went.
Brandon is very upset that the icon was changed from this:
“You can’t just change icons! What if they wanted to make Mousegears the icon for EPCOT? It’s a shop!.. just like that stupid hat! A shop shouldn’t be the icon!!” He goes on and on. So of course every time we see anything with the hat on it we have to make a comment about how it is the icon of DS!
We wanted to see Lights Motor Action so we made our way over there. We walked through the Streets of America - somehow the Osborne lights aren’t as impressive during the day. Here is a pic of Brandon under the umbrella:
Before entering the stadium for LMA we thought a little snack would be good and we still had credits to use. The kids ordered churros, I had a cinnamon pretzel and Tony got a regular pretzel with cheese. All items were fresh and very tasty!
Here is a couple of pics from LMA:
Tony liked the angle of this shot from the stadium:
You can See TOT, GMR and the ummmm ICON!
After the show where do you think we headed? That’s right….ToT.
We never made that Sci-Fi reservation!
Then the time had arrived. The moment we had been dreading….. We had to leave the park.
We walked as slowly as possible
to the bus back to the resort.
We had counter service credits left so we had lunch at the food court.
Somehow I had gone the entire trip without eating a cheeseburger!!
I rarely eat cheeseburgers and fries at home . This was my last opportunity to have one and blame it on vacation. I ordered a cheese burger and fries with a cheesecake for dessert. Tony ordered a cheesesteak with fries and cheesecake. Deavon ordered a hot dog with fries and a milkshake. Brandon had a pizza and milkshake. All the food was food court good.
We chewed very slowly
as it was our last meal at Disney World. Then another dreaded moment…
Our driver arrived.
It was the same guy that had dropped us off! He does look a bit Mafioso don’t you think? But he was very nice, played good music in the car and picked us up on time.
Well that is the conclusion of our day by day. I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed reliving it.
Up next will be a summary of what I would do differently next time and what I thought was well worth doing again.
