T'was the night before Disney , not an OUTLAW in sight……

For those of you who are just joining this report, :welcome: I’ll give you a little background information. For those of you who I have come to know and love through my pre-trip , you can Fastpass your way to Day1!

Let me begin by saying that there really isn't anything wrong with our families..:rolleyes1 ..Okay that's a lie. There is plenty wrong with them but I don't want to alter your opinion of me personally based on the fact that alot of our inlaws are outlaws. Maybe not outlaws but complete morons ( and some of them are outlaws).

Every holiday we try to come up with excuses to not spend the season with our families and our excuses are running out. How many times can you contract Hemorrhagic Fever and Monkey Pox without arousing suspicion :confused3

So we have now begun scheduling our vacations around holidays.:santa: :car: Perfect excuse and the kids are out of school anyway. The problem is that it is usually more crowded where ever you go . This fact is especially true at Disney World. What to do
Well with a little creative storytelling ( it is Disney after all) we are going to the World December 12- 17th but the extended family won't think we are returning until after the holidays.Thank God for caller ID and the fact that we don't normally see these people on a day to day basis anyway.

That's a little background on how the trip came to be. Now for some info about us...

::MickeyMo Tony: age 39, in home appliance service technician for a MAJOR retailer, Disney fanatic and all around great guy.He gets the Mickey smilie because Tony is the Disney expert .

:maleficen Lynn : age 40 , personal trainer and group exercise instructor for a facility that has a great song made all about it, Disney lover and the one who will be mostly writing this pre trip report because Tony said he didn't want to.Why , you may ask , did you give yourself the Malificent smilie? Well, when I talk about the outlaws ( I mean inlaws) I probably sound a little wicked!

:tinker: Deavon : age 12 at the time of the trip, member of Girl Scouts, softball star , Disney Princess , and the best daughter I ever had ( okay , she's the only one .) She gets Tink because it will match the 50,000,000 t-shirts, hoodies etc that is in her closet!

:stitch: Brandon: age 14, musician ( piano , alto sax, and guitar) Band Geek , and has made the dreaded teen years not seem so bad afterall. He gets Stitch because it's his favorite and Brandon is also mischievous like Stitch!

Well that should get us acquainted . If you would like to continue reading , up next will be Day 1!
:wave2:

I am sitting here bored and the title of your trip report caught my eye and here I am!!!

Outlaws, I love it:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I think we all have them.

I love that they think you are going to be away until after the holidays

Good One:lmao:

This TR sounds right up my alley. I even read your background out loud to DH because it sounds just like our families. DH would love to plan our vacations around holidays just to avoid the whole hoopla that always happens. Can't wait to read more :happytv: .

Are you trying to loose me????:rotfl2:

Day 1

I’ve never written a trip report, so I think what I will do is report what we were SUPPOSED to do, then report the way it really went down!
The Plan:
Day 1
3:30am alarm goes off:scared1:
4:30 or 5:00 leave for Cincinnati airport
th_car.gif

6:00-6:30 am ETA at Cincinnati airport
7:40 flight leaves
th_7_2_116.gif

9:46 ETA at MCO
We will have a town car waiting for us so we can stop for booze
th_3_10_6.gif

(....we were supposed to get something else but the booze is #1 on the list)
11:00am arrive at POFQ

42494153.jpg

I am totally guessing here. I have no idea how long it takes to drive to WDW with a 10 minute stop at the grocery store ( That's it ! I am supposed to get breakfast foods too. )
12:00 arrive at Animal Kingdom:woohoo:

Goals for Animal Kingdom:

Ride Expedition Everest -
See the Nemo show-
Ride every single ride at least once and do all the trails but maybe not Conservation Station.
Lunner at Flame Tree-- That's right I said LUNNER . It's lunch and dinner together, kind of like brunch only later in the day.
Start our Photopass pictures. We have only allowed one day in AK but we have from about Noon until 9:00pm so I think we'll be good.:cool2:

Back home:
With Christmas being still two weeks away , the only preparations the families are making is trying to keep any more people from being in jail for the holidays
th_Jail02.gif

What really went down:

Everything in the morning went as planned if you can believe it! It was the kids first time flying and somehow I forgot to take pictures!

Brandon got to know a TSA agent quite well.
th_tsaclipjaja.jpg
He wore these shorts that have about a million zippers and other metal thingies on them so they had to wand him. I think he liked it!
The flight was uneventful.
th_planesmilie.gif
Deavon and I worked on her homework and Brandon and Tony watch the in flight video.
We arrived on time and our town car service was waiting.

424944461.jpg

He took us to a Publix for our booze ( and breakfast foods). He played an Eric Clapton blues Cd on the way to POFQ and Tony and I were in heaven already!
We got to POFQ around 10:30 and were promptly checked in by Angelica.

42494155.jpg

Our room was not ready yet so we checked in our bags and headed to the Animal Kingdom.
th_12_7_81.gif

Our bus came quickly but after picking us up it went to Riverside making three stops. In all it took 25 minutes to arrive at AK.
Here is a picture of the tree outside the gates:

We walked through the turnstiles about 11:30 and started things off with Photopass.
th_camera.gif
We took advantage of this as often as the kids would allow. After the first 40 or 50 pictures they began to refuse so there will be many pictures of just Tony and I.
Then we headed straight to EE. We expected that FP would be used up and that the lines would be very long….WRONG! 20 minute wait posted but I would say we waited 10 to ride and got a FP to come back.

Picture of EE from afar:

EE was so much fun! I am not a big coaster freak but I really liked this one. It is now my second favorite Disney coaster. You can guess what my first favorite is and I’ll let you know if you are right.
What do you think was our first Disney food purchase? Of course…ice cream! We all got a cookies and cream Mickey Head :cloud9: except for Deavon who wanted an Orange popsicle. Man that really hit the spot! I didn’t even check to see what the calorie and fat content was!
Then we headed to Primeval Whirl. I don’t care what anyone says, I really like this ride! It had a 20 minute wait posted but it went much quicker, This is a reoccurring theme for the entire trip thankfully.
Next was Dinosaur. Again , 20 minutes posted but only about 10 in line. We then used our FP for EE Before lining up for Nemo.
The line stretched on for miles by1:00
th_smiley-divider.gif
….but we were inside quickly. That left about 30 minutes for me to get a nap on Tony’s shoulder.
th_naptime.gif

The show was really cute and I enjoyed it but all of us felt it was a bit long...... Much like our Day 1 report so I will break it into two posts!

Up next: Our first real food review!
:wave2:

I found you Lynn! Great start to your trip report. Can't wait for the rest! :thumbsup2

I'm guessing your favorite roller coaster is Rock n Roller Coaster?

By the way, I love Primeval Whirl too! :)

Clean up......Company or Honey I'm home:)

YAY!!! You started your trip report. I love your sense of humor, especially about your son and the TSA agents :lmao:. Great start, I love it!! Can't wait to read more popcorn::.

I made it over here too. Gotta say your town car driver looks like a mob member. Or he is one of your outlaws???? As long as you got the booze, I guess it doesn't matter.

Thanks for posting in the Pre-TR that you started a new thread, I might not have found you for days otherwise! :cutie:

:lmao: That picture is too funny!

Wow. you got lucky with your AK wait times!

My family was the same way with the photopass pictures. At first they would get them taken willingly but by the end of the trip I had to drag them into the picture. They were like "Lessa, we have already had our picture taken with the castle 20 times, how many more pictures do you need!" :lmao:

:welcome: I'm telling you , once you have a peaceful holiday without cops showing up, fights breaking out, name calling, etc...you will choose to NEVER ruin your holidays again with the outlaws!
Are you trying to loose me????:rotfl2:

Are you kidding me ?!?!? You are a celebrity on the TR board :cool2: and I am honored to have you! I just haven't learned all the ins and outs of TRs yet so I didn't know how to tie my Pre trip into my TR.

You know me too well. That is my favorite coaster. I think its because of my big hair days listening to R&R back in the 80s.:lmao:

Clean up......Company or Honey I'm home:)

:lmao:
Enjoying your report. We were there the 10th to the 15th. Great time to go.

I thought it was awesome! Some of the Negative Nellies had me scared but everything was great!

I can't take credit for the smilies. Tony found those and posted all the pictures.
:surfweb:

i'm here now. carry on! :lmao:

:yay:

I know , right?! He was very cut and dry . We tipped him well out of fear for a long drive in the trunk to Jersey!:rotfl:

I love the Photopass but you will notice that the kids smiles begin waning about day 3!
Hey Lynn! Love the report so far. Can't wait to read more.

:cheer2: Probably post the rest of day 1 this evening.

Hey Lynn! Found ya! So glad you're posting pics! I was trying to picture what you all looked like! We probably walked past you at Epcot and didn't know it!

Ok, I'll say it: "Wow Lynn! Where did you get a picture of the dream fast pass lanyard?!"

Ready for more!popcorn::

Great installment! I love your smilies (even if they were added by DH). It sounds like your first day and travel couldn't have been any smoother - you even got to AK before you had expected. EE is my absolute favorite roller coaster ever - I just love the theming in the queue as much as the ride itself.

I can't wait to read more.

Love this.

I liked it but it kind of freaked me out that someone died on it the day after we got home. So very sad!:(
