Thanks for sharing the list - it's helping me with mine. :thumbsup2
Good luck with your shirts. Can't wait to see them. I'm working on mine right now. :goodvibes

Love your lists!!! I can't wait to see your Pirates Invites...that is going to be awesome and I know your boys will love to do it!!

All this Disney Christmas stuff makes me wish I was going too LOL!! Although I will have a Disney themed tree this year and will be ordering some ornaments very very soon!!!!

Good luck with your lists I know you will get it all done!!!!!!

Thanks! I have found a few options, I may come up with my own after all, we'll see... I think they will get a kick out of it.

Oh I can't wait to see your Disney tree! I had bought a set of four ornaments last November, so those were the only ornaments I had until this last trip -- I am going to look for a few more!

Thanks on the lists! It will -- I got lots to fill in!

Oh my you have such energy!
Can't wait to see the t-shirt designs! I'm sure they are going to be totally awesome!

Energy or Stupidity.... yeah, something like that! If I tackle a few a week I should have it all nailed down before we leave ! Going to work on the Tshirts next week... just trying to decide what to use.

It goes without saying that I love your lists. ;)

I love how you are keeping in with the Holiday theme for your trip. It's going to be so awesome for your family.

Oh yes, it does go without saying :lmao: I am trying to stay totally Disney because I think it will be all the more fun!!!! I even plan to make Mickey head sugar cookies!!!!

So excited you booked the Pirate League. Disrunner (Diane) just took her two boys and had a great update and pics on the whole thing.

Love all your lists. I am not sure I could pull off all the holiday stuff and getting ready for Disney !

OH thank you for this link!!! I am going right over to check it out!!!! :thumbsup2

It is going to be hard, I am going to want to prepare my own house, decorate, cookies, and then I gotta stick to the fact that we have a trip to plan and pack for! As we get closer I am sure I will be totally confused and all over the place!

Well, I received a very special package today in the mail!!! Christine (2xcited2sleep) sent me a CD with some photopass share photos, and recipies from the F & W AND a great little note written on a F & W notecard! I feel so special!!! :) :)

SO I just had to get this Halloween/Fall trip picture post up for you all...

Halloween in our neighborhood is taken very seriously. BOO! HA! These first are our house... I couldn't get a good one that showed all the tomb stones, and unfortunately that evening it was drizzly and windy, so things had a hard time staying put.

THe "lady in the shadows" is me! But the picture didn't come out very well... but I wanted to show you the dragon... Here they are "battling" in my family room...

Here is a closeup of the knight! He had a high temp btw, so he is a little flushed, but just wanted to at least go for a few houses...

IMG_1095.jpg

Now THIS is the house across the street. YES that is a car in his front yard...

In years past someone was actually IN this coffin, pretending to be still and would just jump up at you.

IMG_1106.jpg

If you brave the front steps and porch -- which vibrates and makes a loud startling sound -- you can get your candy!!!!

I will post my OTHER photos from the CD tomorrow -- I have to load them to photo bucket!

To confirm, yes I made both costumes. The knight's costume was really really easy -- I neglected to attach velcro to the bottom with the crocs :), but I think they still looked great, I love making costumes!!! The Dragon costume was a Dinosaur costume that got a new life!! I added wings to it and ripped out the spikes on the head... we added ears and horns which are hard to see... the wings you can see in the first photo I think .. :goodvibes

Okay, back tomorrow!

Ewwwwww, spoooky! Your neighborhood looks like so much fun! The costumes were very impressive! Your boys are so lucky to have a mom that is also a talented seamstress.
Thanks for sharing!
Can't wait to see the photopass pics!

At least all of your to-dos are fun things! ;)

Love the spookiness of your house and neighborhood for Halloween, and your knight and dragon are just adorable!!!

By the way, I bought that Christmas music CD at the Disney Store yesterday, and we promptly had to listen to it on the way home.

I'm glad the package arrived! :goodvibes After seeing the pictures now I definitely want to move to your neighborhood! And come over on Saturday mornings for Mickey waffles! :thumbsup2 I'm not a stalker... I promise.

Those costumes are so impressive. You are talented. And your house looked great all decorated for Halloween. Can't wait to see your Christmas decorations!!

Awesome pics! Thanks for sharing! I'm so jealous of your ability to MAKE those costumes!!!! I'm so not crafty. :)

Thank you! Yes, we do have a fun time! The adults, too -- mulled wine sharing from one house to the next...:rolleyes1 I like to sew. Not enough to make things that require painstaking time and detail, I am too impatient for that, but some things, I do enjoy -- I made a moses basket cover for my littlest one, when he was born... These little projects are fun, anything bigger would be overwhelming. Costumes once a year, no problem! :thumbsup2

Did you??!! Is it good??!! I was hoping it was.... :yay: I need a review!!! :) The list isn't too long... there is another, that has all the things I have to do that are NON-Disney specific but Holiday specific, still lots of fun stuff, but :scared1: I am running out of time!!!

Awww I wouldn't call you a stalker! Vicarious poster, sure!!!

Thanks for the compliments on the sewing... We love to decorate, Christmas is my favorite time. Hands down... Wait till I get going on the Xmas cookies!!!

Awesome pics! Thanks for sharing! I'm so jealous of your ability to MAKE those costumes!!!! I'm so not crafty. :)
You know, I never really sewed until I got involved with theater, and then it just stuck! I made drapery for my kids' rooms, for my bathroom (faux) shower curtain drapery, costumes, and flannel PJ pants! This is about the extent of my handiwork!!!! I do it because it is fun... I need a creative outlet, and these kind of projects give me that! :thumbsup2

Oh thanks! Yes, well I have to get going on those shirts, that is for sure! ANd this list is the fun list -- there is another Holiday not Disney related list, too ... which is just more shopping, baking, decorating, cleaning, etc. etc!! BUT I love Christmas, and I take advantage of the season from the day after Thanksgiving until the week after New Years!! I do at least take my decorations down within a reasonable amount of time!

I look forward to seeing your shirts too!! :thumbsup2

I love the costumes!!!!!!!!!! And how fun that your neighborhood gets into it like that. We go trick or treating in a neighborhood that really does it up and it is so much fun!

btw....I have some new "Jack" Christmas DISigns up on the site :)

Joining in a little late but definitely joining in!! Going back to read...

Oh Yay! You know I am a sucker for a good Jack disign

I'll go check 'em out! :thumbsup2

Did you??!! Is it good??!! I was hoping it was.... :yay: I need a review!!! :)

It's cute -- some of the songs are sung by actual people and some are sung by Disney characters (Pooh sings The Twelve Days of Christmas and Mickey and Goofy sing Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer -- that kind of thing.) I am sure it will be getting a lot of playtime in the car this season. ;)

What a fun neighborhood for Halloween!! :thumbsup2 My house is in a hilly area so I only get around 20 people. :sad2:
Love your costumes! You are so very talented! Can't wait to see your new shirts! They will be wearing their new shirts and stylin with their boypris!!

Love your to do list! Planning is so much of the fun!

Tracy

So tonight I am going to share a work in progress... my "unusual and random" to bring list.... especially designed for my Christmas in Disney trip! :santa:

Now of course I am going to pack clothes, etc. for my family. as I would for any trip, though heading to Disney and Florida in December is going to be a new experience for me. I am searching the DIS christmas threads so I get a better sense of packing and clothes, etc., but due to the fact that we are going to be there over Christmas, and that we have the villa with a kitchen and my DBIL and a friend visiting WDW for four days with us, I am bringing things in the car I wouldn't have otherwise...

SO here is my "unusual and random" To Bring List... HO! HO! HO!:santa:

Hand mixer and a pot
I am making eggnog everyone... Hey WigD, pay attention! It is coming in my resort mug on Christmas eve... I will have to bring a thermos full... spread the cheer! :lmao:
I have a heavenly recipe... it will last all week. :thumbsup2

Small cookie tray
Yes, you heard it here first... I am going to bake cookies! Now, I am going to royally cheat on this one... I will be making freezer dough cookies.. slice and bake, vs. rollouts... too much trouble! I will have made oodles at home already. These will be for us at the resort...

Games – Haunted Mansion Clue and Disney Trivia
I love these two games, HM Clue is fun, but the Disney Trivia even more entertaining! This particular game belongs to by DBIL. I have told him to bring it over on Thanksgiving. It is Jeopardy, I think? I have to see, but I remember one night we all played (this was like five years ago) and he was trying to get his partner to guess the character, "Snow White". Well it wasn't working, the timer was getting close to ending, and in his last attempt, my DBIL shouted out "Apple Eater!" to hopefully jog the right answer out of his friend! BUT it didn't work. He just earned a healthy dose of laughing and family teasing. :rotfl:

Christmas CD’s and DVD’s
I will probably bring a few DVDs and a few CD's for when we are back at the resort villa. Movies include a few Christmas classics, the new Disney Christmas movies we will have, Mickey, SantaBuddies.. I will include the Muppet's Christmas Carol, the Grinch, and our favorite... A Christmas Story...

Umbrella & ponchos
Don't know if weather will be wet... was thinking in December it could be different?

Stroller
It is coming ONE last trip, a trip that is due to have high crowd #s -- I was thinking about not bringing it.. but I would hate to lose a child!

Shopping bags
I have two sizeable “Disney” shopping bags, they are heavy coated plastic with handles and a zipper. We use them for pool bag and for emergency carryon luggage, etc. They pack flat, and will be useful should we need extra space for whatever on the way home. Even dirty clothes!!!

Christmas gifts
This trip is our Christmas Gift. Still, I will have a few items to bring along, these will be wrapped ahead of time. And just tossed in the car.

Zip loc baggies
These will be useful for snacks during the trip, and who knows what else!

Resort Mugs
Of course we will bring these! See item #1 above …

So there will be other thing to add I am sure, but this is a start! I have a few more weeks to get it right!!! :thumbsup2

Will post the Jedi Training photos from the Photo pass CD this evening!

So should I have my empty resort mug with me???;)

Christmas CD’s and DVD’s
I will probably bring a few DVDs and a few CD's for when we are back at the resort villa.
Good idea, I think I'll put some in the Disney drawer...I'm thinking Bridget Jones, Love Actually, and The Holiday.....
The guys will have to gather their own movies....

Umbrella & ponchos

I think our best bet is to keep an eye on the 10 day forecast. We keep our ponchos in our purple locker so they are always there...
Stroller

First trip for us with a stroller, can you say nervous???

Zip loc baggies

Will be taking more ziplocks to leave in the second locker... thanks for reminding me!

Resort Mugs
Of course we will bring these! See item #1 above …

So there will be other thing to add I am sure, but this is a start! I have a few more weeks to get it right!!! :thumbsup2
Pretty sure I left those in the locker too. I need to check the cabinet.

Thanks for the list! I am so happy to have you thinking for me!
:santa:

Excuse me, did you say you have an eggnog recipe? Do share!!! :goodvibes

What fun you are going to have -- I want to come hang out at your villa and play Haunted Mansion Clue and eat Christmas cookies!!! :goodvibes
